I know nothing of Backstreet Boys except that when I was younger their image was was a bubblegum boy band the chicks liked. Polar opposite of what I was listening to. They weren’t cool.I bought this record entirely and specifically for the song ‘I Want It That Way’, what I consider a great song even if the Taliban would have recorded it. What I found was a very good collection of songs with some what I would consider Atypical music that I really like. Not just stuff the chicks dig.If you buy it remember, you don’t have to tell your friends.

After seeing 'the documentary 'Backstreet Boys: Show Them What You Are Made Of' on EPIX cable, I realized I didn't have them in my collection. I am glad I bought it. These guys are true artists. They never strayed from their signature sound and stayed true to themselves. The documentary is excellent and is a lesson for many of us who pursue careers that fade with age. I hope these gentlemen put away enough money to carry them for life. They got royally screwed by their criminal manager Lew Pearlman on the front end of their rise to fame. Fortunately they got away from him but the damage was done. They are class acts, and while this is part of their history, the documentary makes mention of Pearlman but is certainly not the focus. The film takes each band member back to their childhood roots and you meet the mentors who made their careers possible. Highly recommended. And with 14 songs for $6.99, this collection of the Backstreet Boys is worth every penny. Best of luck guys. :-)))
