This chalk comes from the famous Hagoromo that produces the mathematician-preferred Fulltouch chalk.This chalk is emphatically not of the same quality. It is made from gypsum, and is very considerably lighter in weight than the Fulltouch variant. While this chalk is smooth, it does seem to scratch the board very faintly, which even a heavy duty felt eraser doesn't get rid of. Because of this, I cannot recommend it, but it's not the worst out there.

While this is sold under the name of the Famous Hagoromo chalk (Theorems prove themselves when using the original Hagoromo!), this product is definitely not anywhere near the same quality. There is far better chalk out there, and you are making a serious mistake (like I did) if you buy this thinking that it is anything special. It is a pity, for I had high hopes for this product.

I completely regret this purchase. Horrible product. These chalks are not the same as the great "Hagoromo Fulltouch White Chalk". These chalks are horrible. They are sold as fancy expensive chalks but the are much lower quality that the cheap generic chalks.

awful chalk does not erase on the board and is very cheap quality. Don't buy this it is a waste of money.
