Perfect!
This harness was perfect when our dog became immobile with a hind leg injury. She was having issues getting up and down and wasn't putting much weight on her hind leg. This helped us immensely as we aided her in safely getting up and down from the floor. We also used this to get her down our back steps. The harness was easy to adjust to her size and fit her perfectly. The material is very durable. We also liked that we could give her as much or as less support as she needed as we nursed her way back to being able to walk without support.

Soft and helpful, great adjustment options
Helps me pick up the dog to get her moving easily. It's even more plush than I expected, so it's soft for her and doesn't dig into her skin. There is a huge range for adjusting the handles, which was another great bonus for 5' tall me, but they can be loosened so much that a 7 foot person would also be fine.Very happy with this belt, especially for the price!

Gentle way to assist dog
My 14 year old Beagle/Bassett is having hip issues and can’t stand up I use this to help lift her back legs so she can stand on her own. I also use it to assist her with walking. Love this for her and for me the handles mean I don’t have to bend down to assist her

Helpful for the mobility of my dog
This product was very helpful with our Charli. She had a degenerative nervous system disorder and lost the use of her back legs. When she still had the use of one rear leg, it helped her to keep her balance and to be able to have a little bit less trouble going out. As she lost mobility in both legs, it progressively helped us to be able to take her out to go to the bathroom and to move her from place to place. I think it could have been a little bit wider because after about four or five months of use, it started kind of folding under her abdomen. I still think it was a very helpful product. It is best used when your pet still has some mobility because it can still be hard on your back and shoulders if your dog is very heavy and you are bearing all of their weight. I would purchase it again, but I would recommend that it be made of a little bit more rugged material on the outer side that is away from the dog’s skin. I just think it would help after extensive use to not fold under their abdomen while you’re trying to get them from place to place.

Well made !
It’s a well made product. I have an old Labrador and his back legs have both gone out. This kind of helps.Luckily his two front legs still work and one back leg kind of still works. We have been practicing walking with this product for the last few days. It does help and I’m glad I purchased it. Very well made.

A really great tool to help our aging pets
My 13-year-old lab mix has arthritis and stairs are almost impossible for him on his own. With this harness, his glucosamine supplements and his Rimadyl, he is still able to come upstairs and sleep with me at night. He now knows not to try the stairs on his own and he just waits for me to put his harness on. It’s really hard when our pet’s age, and this helps make it a little easier and helps keep him happy.

Great back saver!
I purchased this for my 11 year old dog who has trouble climbing the steps in the morning. I can get her up the steps with the sling in a minute. It is easy to put on. It's like carrying a suitcase except she uses her feet too. Best item I ever purchased.

Used this for 4 months & here are the pros & cons.
My dog is around 10 lbs so I ordered a small. Her back legs don't work too well and she loses her balance when she goes potty and needs my help.Pros:It's well made as far as quality goes and I love that it's soft on my dog's belly. I'm able to hold my dog up when she goes potty and this thing holds its shape so it doesn't roll down as it would if you were using something like a scarf.Cons:Personally, the design leaves a lot to be desired. First, it's too wide from the front to back legs for a small dog. It needs an inch or two removed. It wedges itself against her back hips and causes her to go limp or fall. I learned to hold the sling up and forward so it's closer to her front legs, but it takes a lot of work. When my dog, like many dogs, walks around in circles to find the right place to go I have to walk right next to her and I have to hunch over a bit to keep up the strap forward AND straight up. If I don't, she will either fall over or she'll get her back feet over the strap. With the straps being the length that they are I have to be so close to her that I can't make any missteps to prevent her from falling or escaping. Also, I'm 5ft tall and the straps are barely long enough. It is way too short for my husband who is 6ft tall.My biggest gripe with this sling is that there no velcro to hold it in place. this means you have to hold the straps up firmly in the right position so your dog doesn't fall or get out of it. I'm hunched over walking in circles and holding it up and forward, but my girl can pull a fast one on me and turn quickly so if I'm not on it she can easily slide out of the sling. For a small dog, she has long legs so I think a short legged dog would have no problem getting out of it.If she manages to get her feet over the sling it's a struggle to get it back under her because she's trying to find a place to go but I'm stopping her, so even before I get it fully under her she moves and gets her foot caught in the strap which is a loop. I do like that the straps go across the front as well as the back for more support though. Basically it gives me a bit more control when helping my dog to balance herself as she needs more support on the back end. But, it needs a tube to go over the loops to prevent their legs from getting caught in them if they get out of the sling while on a pursuit of a poop spot.Btw, I did add velcro to this and it made a world of difference. Straps still need to be a bit longer though.
