It's wonderful to see that is ancient and venerable craft is still available to the new generations who are willing to carry on a thing of great beauty and priceless in result. Thank you for keeping alive a craft that produces such beauty and intricacy.

This bobbin lace guide is worth the cost. It's the best for clear instruction and enlarged photo examples. I've purchased 5 different bobbin lace books and only this one I consider a treasure.

Dover offers this reprint of an old classic. Don't expect great illustration because you won't find them in this book. What you will find is basic information and techniques on numerous lace styles. Great reference particularly for the price.

Hard to see some of the pictures because they’re grainy but the patterns and diagrams are ok, all in all could use an update for the extant examples but not a bad book for being a republished version of something from 1976 done in 1985. Manage expectations accordingly.

I bought this as a gift and was very pleased with the layout of the book. The recipient has been enjoying it as well.
