The variable heat and timing is a nice feature
I had been looking for a while for an electrically heated eyemask for blepharitis treatments. Trying to use warm compresses was maddening as they always got ice cold before the treatment time was up. I bought a beaded type mask from the opthamologist that could be heated in the microwave, but it required disposable moist liners to be bought and used and also cooled off too fast. This is nice and the highest heat setting is very hot if that's what you want. I use the middle setting which seems hot enough to do the job, but isn't uncomfortably hot for me. The timer function is nice so I don't have to worry if I fall asleep while using it. I initially didn't realize it came with an ice pack also, which is useful if you get swelling from the heat. The cover had a bit of a chemical smell to it when I first received it, but I washed it with the delicates in a lingerie bag and it came out undamaged and fresh. I've used it while traveling and its small size worked out well for fitting in luggage. At first I thought it having only one strap would mean it wouldn't stay on but I haven't had any problems with it fitting or staying on. though it does go over top of the ears so I had to get used to that.

So far so good
Got my package yesterday. It is very easy to use, setting heating in different levels. Even though I think the highest level of heating is still not very hot for me, I will accept the manufacture's this option. Pro: I like the timer setting, so I can set the time and fail asleep without worrying about to overheat my eyes after I fail asleep. But the timer setting indicator buttons can barely be read; the buttons and its keyboard are all black color, can't be seen which level of heat and what time it is set.

The Highest Temperature Is Not Hot Enough.
The product is very comfortable to use. However, even at the highest temperature the mask is not warm enough. It was too late for me to send it back. If anyone has a phone number or address for the company could they please place it on the reviews?

Excellent for treatment of blepharitis, comfortable and easy to use
I have meibomian gland blepharitis, and my ophthalmologists' instructions were to use warm moist compresses for five minutes twice a day, followed by gently cleaning the closed eyelids with a little baby shampoo or eyelid scrubbing pads.I looked it up, and the minimum temperature to make the oil in the glands more fluid is 45 deg. C. This goes up to 50 deg. C, so it's perfect. I tested the temperature with a laser temperature sensor, but it turns out it gets cooler as soon as you lift it away from your face, so I next got a kitchen thermometer and carefully put it between my face and the mask (being careful to keep the point away from my eye). With the mask set to 50 deg C, I measured at temperature of 47.5 deg C, with some variability depending on whether there was an air gap near the thermometer probe. So, this is warm enough to get the job done. It has to be wet down to get to that temperature. I use ten pumps from the enclosed spray bottle, five for the left side, five for the right side. It takes about a minute to get up to temperature, so I usually set my phone timer to six minutes when I use this. The timer does work, so if I'm not in a hurry, I just set it to ten minutes and take it off when it starts to cool down. I got this for travel, because the microwaveable one I had been using wasn't convenient (not every hotel room has a microwave). Well, I like this so much, I use it at home now, too. I use it right before bedtime, and again first thing in the morning. The spray bottle is right on my nightstand, and the heating pad just stays plugged in by my bed.I find this comfortable and soothing, and like the consistent temperature and ease of use.

It worked for two years so just reordered!
I just re-ordered. My first mask worked great every morning for two-plus years.I use without the gel pad (zipped in). The plush side is very soft; feels great on me. My mask is plenty warm - I usually set it on 2 but I use it over Press-n-Seal so number 3 feels really warm (long explain below). I also have never had to wash cover for the same reason....At 67, I was diagnosed with mechanical dry eye (eyes don't shut completely at night AND my meibomian glands were not putting out oil. I was told to wear a mask at night cut out of Press-and-Seal (it is a sticky plastic wrap and lowest in chemicals!). I put a light coat of castor oil on my lids to keep wrap from sticking to my eyelashes. (wow! my eye lashes are longer and the wrinkles much improved!!).I was told 10 minutes of heat treat per day. I set the heated eye mask to #2 heat setting and 15 minutes and put on over the press-n-seal (my eyes are very moist under the plastic). During the 15 minutes, I do exercises laying on bed with the mask on - legs, shoulder/arm weighs, plank, reverse plank, etc. I take off mask and do the meibomium gland message (look it up if interested but no pressure on iris). My eyes are greatly improved - near the right amount of meibum. I only have to use Systain mega 3 on extreme days. The eye damage from years of dry eye has healed. This mask has been great for two years. I do try to not bend or stress the connections a lot. Note that it has a disconnect that slides apart if I accidently pull on the mask to much. I don't wind the cord to store it. It stays plugged in and just the mask goes into a storage box by my bed.

May be slightly too small for a man
This mask, the grey one on the bottom, seems to have some useful features. It is washable because you can remove the heating element, and it comes with a cold pack. However, it is about an inch shorter and 3/4 of an inch narrower compared to the previous mask I bought from Amazon, so it is uncomfortable and doesn't keep out as much light. I am a man with an average-sized head who uses it to treat dry eyes. It might be fine for someone with a smaller head or face, but I am sending it back. This will be the third of this type mark that I have purchased. They work fine, but I've found that the inexpensive switches wear out after a year or so.
