Brillian gift for any LoTR fans

I've had this mug for a year, and, although it get used daily, it gets washed by hand, and never harshly treated, or put in a dishwasher. Unfortunately the outer layer, which shows the map, has started to peel off, as you can see in the pictures.Its getting to the point where I will have to throw it away, as the peeling is also round the top, and I don't want to swallow any of that material.Pity! It's a good sized mug, spoiled by faulty materials.

It needs to be clarified that this mug ONLY shows the map when it is heated with a hot drink. Otherwise it is completely black.

I was looking for a sizable mug to replace a previous Christmas present, unfortunately, when this arrived it was clearly a very poor quality cash-in on LotR. The shots on the website are very careful too high the fact that the map does not cover a significant area near the handle

Bought this 3 months ago. The black coating that turns into the map when heated chips off really easily. Mine is already scratched and chipped. Maybe a good novelty item but not suitable for everyday use as the quality is not great.

This was a present to my grandson, over the moon with the quality of the map when he used it for a cup of tea, very happy and pleased.
