Green Peppercorns in Brine by La Caperelle (3.5 ounce)

Steak a poivre is our favorite for special occasions or date night at a local restaurant but the price has become outrageous. We decided to cook it ourselves and these peppercorns made the tasty pepper cream sauce perfect.

This is amazing! I use this twice when I was making a peppercorn sauce for the steak I cooked and it came out 10 times better. Definitely need to order more when I run out because finding fresh green peppercorns is impossible at the supermarket.

This is one of those things that are sometimes in a recipe, but I can not find in my local grocery stores. So glad I can get them at a reasonable price. They are delicious

I once had a sauce on a steak at a cute little place in Tempe. Ever since that day, I've attempted to recreate that sauce at home. It was always lacking that something. This is that something. A little stock. A little cream. And a little green peppercorn in brine. That's it. The essence is in the brine. I have no idea what other recipes will benefit yet, but I make the sauce in quarts, lol. It's that great.

These pepper corns are pricey but of an excellent quality. We use them sparingly so the value was acceptable. Great flavor!
