PetSafe Wall Install Kit Electronic SmartDoor, Small, White

Although my husband thought he could easily make something similar to use rather than this, he preferred to get something that would look seamless and I'm glad we did! Super easy to install. (If you have anxiety about a hole being cut in your wall, I recommend walking out of the room with a glass of wine and let the hubby do his job!) it doesn't feel drafty and fit wonderfully. I have a 9lb shitzu/bichon fries mix and he fits perfectly.

In as much as it is over priced for a piece of plastic through the wall it is very useful. It worked very well.

It may keep other animals out, but the flapping noise is very annoying when 2 small dogs are going in and out. The white plastic "tunnel" gets dirty very quickly and hard to keep clean. Considering the total cost I would have installed a simple "doggie door" and closed it at night.

Easy installation, works great!

Very poorly designed. Unfortunately, this is something you MUST buy if you have the PetSafe Electronic SmartDoor and want to install it in a main wall to the outside as opposed to a door. This kit is WAY overpriced for what you get which is basically two molded plastic shells. The design engineers really got lazy on this one. It is a pain to install and the bolt-holes should have been made to pass all the way through as to clamp down from both sides of the wall kit with the wall sandwiched in-between. Plus, the bolt holes are left exposed and are unsightly. Where the two pieces come together inside is also poorly designed. There is no way to seal the connect parts and I had to improvise with my own screws. Then, the exterior side is fully exposed to the elements. If you live in a raining area, forget about this dog-door unless you like the inside of your walls nice and wet.

Well the product worked for maybe two months then No Mas! It is installed right, it was great while it worked. I changed the batteries and i reprogrammed it. I bought a new dog fob and batteries for that and I cant seem to get it to work again. Super disappointed as this is caulked into my wall.

I liked how easy it was to install. Template that came with the kit was very helpful
