Very good
Got these for my son who works at a dealership. Says they help keep him from getting burned. He is pleased.

Not made for people with big arms
Good product but I’m not a fan of the thumb hole and they need a bigger size for people with large forearms or biceps

These are great for working outside .
These are great when working outside and a coat is too bulky or working around a hot engine.

A Welder's Perspective
tl;dr: The Nomex and Kevlar work, but the sleeves are far too short for normal American men.Welding blasts UV as a result of the plasma arc. I have a decent UV burn on my left bicep right now from the coverage gap between these sleeves and my short-sleeve shirt. My fault, for sure. I blame nobody but myself. These sleeves caught all the UV, sparks and slag tossed at them without issue. The issue is they only extend to my elbow.I'm not an over-sized guy - I'm shorter than average and have what they call an 'athletic build'. Point is I am smaller than most welders. So if these things don't fit me, forget the 200 lb. pipeline guy who sticks all day.I used these twice over 24 hours while doing some small MIG assembly - everything from small 'shoot and scoot' weld nuts, up to sched 80 pipe fixed to 1/4 and 3/8 hot roll. Nothing fancy; moderate arc time. God help me if I had gone TIG - that stuff lights up 10x worse than MIG and 50x worse than sunlight. Ouch. On the upside, they are cooler than my leather jacket in a 90 F heat; I just wish I had the foresight to purchase a longer version. If you are using these for welding, go look for a pair that are long enough to cover up to your biceps. If you are using these to protect from biting millenials that cannot stand a bad grade...not sure I can help you. Check with a local university teaching assistant - they undoubtedly have better experience.

Pretty good.
Works really well for sparks but offer little protection for slag or and molten metal droplets. Same thing goes for the cut resistance…they work well to protect against abrasions but will not save you from anything razor sharp. These are great if you’re doing smaller projects but I would not recommend these if you’re doing anything heavy duty or plan on using them every day. I wish they were 4”-6” longer but ultimately they met my expectations and I’m happy with them.
