⏳ Rise and shine, the classic way!
Product Description Design is at the heart of Braun: The concept of ‘less, but better’ has its origins in the Bauhaus movement, but it was Braun and Dieter Rams that created a mind-set of order, clarity and simplicity and applied it to electrical appliances. For six decades, Braun’s humanistic approach to design has inspired designers and companies around the world. In 1971, Braun took its first steps into the clocks category thanks to Dietrich Lubs, a protégé of Dieter Rams, who was responsible for many of the iconic clock designs that are still popular all these decades later. Description: This Braun classic analogue alarm clock has an easy to read dial layout and features the iconic yellow second hand that is synonymous with Braun’s award winning design history. Recently, this clock has been updated to include an integrated foot snooze / light feature, improved movement and luminous tipped hour and minute hands. The clean simplistic dial and contrasting hands (with luminous tips) offers great legibility, and the quartz tick movement is quiet and precise. Smart looking and practical
A smart looking little alarm clock with a clean face, silent and efficient to use. Very happy.

Perfect
This is a little gem of a clock, so neat and well designed. Love the fact the on off button on top of clock, as with so many you have to scrabble about in the dark to turn off at the back. Also the smart light activated by a gentle push down off clock is a great addition. I set it up to perform and has a brilliant crescendo bleep easy to hear. Others have stated the back buttons for setting time etc are difficult to use, but I had no problem as I do have longish nails, but for those with biggish fingers I suggest using a pair of tweezers to grip the button, should work a treat. If you are looking for a decent alarm, do not go for a cheaper option, it never pays this is worth the extra cost, and I do recommend it to others.

Very poor quality
I loved the design and had reasonable hopes of a quality product from Braun but was bitterly disappointed. The clock looks good but feels like cheap quality in the hand. The alarm button wouldn’t always stay down and had to be pressed again. Most concerning was the inability to keep time. Initially it was losing a few minutes a day but then suddenly I’d wake up and it would be an hour behind. Fresh batteries did not help and eventually it got stuck on 8:15 and wouldn’t budge.Sadly I must recommend you avoid this and go for another brand.

Finally, my search is over!
This is the definitive alarm clock.Alarm clocks seem to have gone out of fashion in favour of phones - most alarm clocks seem to be advertised as "retro" these days - but I have always preferred an alarm clock as I don't like taking my phone to bed with me.I must have spent hours searching for the perfect alarm clock. Many that are advertised as silent apparently make a loud whirring or grinding noise or require unusual battery types. Often the products look shoddy and the reviews are suspect. Finally I decided to shell out for this Braun alarm clock, on the basis that they are a reputable brand and a well-known clock manufacturer. And boy am I glad I did! This alarm clock suffers from none of the aforementioned problems. It is not advertised as silent, but it may as well be! The ticking mechanism is so quiet as to be almost imperceptible; certainly not loud enough to disturb me at night, and I am a very light sleeper. It has all the functionality one might expect from an alarm clock: snooze functionality, a light, and an alarm that gradually increases in intensity. It also has a perk that I did not expect: it is possible to set an alarm with extreme precision. For example, you can set an alarm for just a few minutes in the future, and it will work as expected. Alarm clocks I have used in the past would just go off immediately if the alarm was too close to the current time.---EDIT: After some time, the clock developed a fault where the second hand would sometimes get a little stuck when approaching the alarm time, causing the clock to fall behind. I sent the clock back to Braun several times for repair/replacement but the fault keeps reappearing. This is very unfortunate as the clock was otherwise perfect. They suggested the BC03 model as another silent alternative, so perhaps I'll try that next.

A wonderful little clock! Ideal for us older people!

a bit noisy. alarm can't be fully disabled.
Not as quiet as hoped, with a noticeable tick that randomly comes and goes. And the alarm can not be fully disabled - even when off, it makes a loud click/thud sound at the time the alarm is set to, twice a day (when the hour had passes the alarm hand) - it can be enough to startle or wake a light sleeper. It does not keep good time, about 1-2 minutes slow per month. Also the position of the light seems odd and ruins the otherwise very neat and clean appearance. One time the light also got stuck "on" and I had to remove the battery to fix that.Made in China, not Germany...

This clock is silent and worth every penny
This clock is SILENT. Amazing! We have autistic people in our family and clocks that tic really play a havoc with their senses. It’s 1x AAA battery operated 👍. The alarm noise changes tone three times in the first minute then stays on the same tone - the insistent crappy noise that drives anyone to answer it👍.The alarm button is on on top and on pushing it down this also ignites the light. The light can be turned on independently too by pushing the body of the clock down. The only down side (or maybe not) is u have to push the clock down on its foot plate to snooze it. This made for the user to actually engage with the clock and open their eyes.On opening the box on arrival I felt I had over paid - small 7cm ish clock. That looks like u can buy anywhere but .... we had been looking for a long long long time to find a silent clock. If u hold it tight to ur ear there is a faint tic but the sleep we have had and the time keeping has improved so so much. It was WORTH every pennyAnd yes I would buy again
