Sweet Sicily: Sugar and Spice, and All Things Nice Hardcover – September 1, 2014

I bought this book for a friend who loves Sicily, and she loved the book. I think she especially liked how the recipes were in English and Italian, giving her a chance to sharpen her language skills. She also liked the author's prose.

First time I saw this book, I was actually eating the best Cannoli ever (yes, I had more than one rsrs) while walking around and appreciating the gorgeous Taormina. Felt in love and ordered it the same day. Not disapointed at all. Only the pics are already divine and the recipes well written. Really an invitation to cook all those pices of heaven.

In general the book give a good insight in Sicily and passion for desserts. The recipes are explained well for home cooks but not for professional kitchens

Really cute book with excellent recipes for traditional sweet treats from Sicily. The book is filled with beautiful images of Sicily and text which explains the history of the various desserts, as well as the history of this fascinating region itself.

Beautiful photos, language in both English and Italian, very authentic, lovely book, like a work of art

This isn’t just a recipe book, it’s a history book and an art book! One of my favorites in my collection. And the recipes are good both in Italian and English.

Was looking for authenticity in regional Italian sweets to experiment with, as I'm pastry chef at an Italian trattoria. Love the Italian/English prose. Will work very nicely for the intended use.
