AMSSM Sports Medicine CAQ Study Guide 1st Edition

I bought this CAQ review book plus the Board Vitals for questions and I thought both really prepared me to pass the CAQ exam. I took my CAQ test 1 year out of fellowship. During that year when I was practicing as a board eligible sports medicine physician, it really helped out my MSK knowledge. Therefore I knew my weaknesses were in the other parts of the exam such as preventative medicine, diving medicine, altitude sickness, etc including the areas of sports medicine that I did not practice and focused studying on those areas.I will say if you are solely relying on this book to pass the CAQ then you will be disappointed. This book will help emphasize what you do not know. My advice is when studying for the CAQ to constantly read articles and learn as you are progressing through fellowship and practice.I give this book 5 stars because it was exactly what I needed it to be. It helped me to focus on my own areas of weakness. Again after using this book and Board Vitals I had no doubt going into the exam that I would pass and I did.

I was told by my trusted friend, mentor and sports medicine guru that the Primary Care Sports Medicine CAQ recertification test was the "real deal." I went through this study guide thoroughly, and just got the results of my test--PASS! Thank you for such a great study guide!!!

Good series if questions to guide your study for the CAQ. Most of the answer explanations were very helpful and educational.

Helped to gauge knowledge from other review books. Not to be used by itself. Passed the CAQ exam 1st attempt

Used this to study for CAQSM. I rented this book from Amazon and bought the newer edition. Both editions have different questions. There is some repetition in this book which is a bit disappointing considering the small number of questions. It didn't seem high yield for my test either. I did score very well on the test but wish there was a larger more comprehensive question book for the test. There are some typos and content errors as well.

Easy to use. Decently comprehensive.

This is a great book to review for CAQ exam. Varied topics. Good explanations. This will be very helpful to aid in passing the test.

I love it. It is well written, and well organized. The best part is that it covers sports medicine so well.
