Nice product for what it is. I like the finish. I only wish it was thermostatic; and I would have purchased it for a higher price just for that feature.Anyway, I've read a lot of reviews and most of the questions on Amazon before buying.First of all, this bidet can be installed both in a remodel/new construction and as retrofit. In my case it was a remodel but I opted to install it in a way that works for retrofitting so that way I can replace it if it fails (leaks for example) in the future.To install this bidet in a way that you can easily replace it if it fails you need to have a vanity near the toilet. Drill a couple of holes in the vanity, build a bracket to mount the bidet to it and install it on the inside of the vanity. Install your water supply lines by tapping into the sink water supply lines and you're done. You'll have hot/cold water bidet and without needing to mess with any walls or calling a plumber.Just make sure you do your measurements correctly. Once you drill holes in a vanity you won't be able to patch them if you make a mistake ;). For example, in your measurements account for how long your supply lines need to be to tap into the sink supply (the longest faucet supply line I've found at Home Depot online was 36"). Also keep in mind the bidet handle in your measurements, you don't want it to not have room to hang because you installed your bidet base too close to your vanity top.Make sure to use a thread sealant like RectorSeal and wrap teflon on it for your threaded connections (only on the inside of the vanity, not the nice matte black side where the hose connects to the base and handle)To install the cosmetic cover plate on the outside of your vanity use a double sided tape (like 3M or whatever) and add a bunch of it in strips building it to the proper thickness and just stick the plate to the vanity that way.In addition to buying this bidet I bought another bidet that has a traditional handle (squeeze not a button) that allows you to control the water pressure with your palm as you spray, unlike the one that came with this bidet; yes it is silly to have to buy a whole other bidet just to get the right handle but I couldn't live with the one that comes with this one because it leaves you with no water pressure control except at the base unit and that is just not practical at all. I can therefore confirm that you can install any handle you like on this bidet because it is a standard thread.Finally, as far as your supply lines, you can replace the valves for the sink with ones that have two outs, one goes up to the sink and one goes to the bidet.I'm attaching pictures so that it is clear what I have done to get this installed. The pictures show that the vanity top is off but that's because this is a remodel and the vanity is new, you don't need to remove the top to get this installed.

I work on a lot of new walk in showers. This works great on new work and installing was a breeze.. Hot & cold water with a lever an push button sprayer.. It doe's spray hard if turned on high, but can be controlled by the lever. Watch the depth for the cover plate need to add 1/2 for cement board then thickness of the tile, that will leave about 2 inch finish plus cover plate. I used to install two controllers one for shower head an one for hand held. Cost difference about $200 saved. This is the best why to go. Bush chrome looks great and works perfectly... will by again.

This unit has some nice features. Here on the Canadian border hot water was a must. The temperature/flow adjustment is very simple and easy, similar to the single-lever kitchen faucets. The button on the spray head is great: push once and it stays on until you push it again.Installation was a little tricky in an old house with thicker walls. My wall was 1" thick (metal lath + cement plaster + tile). I didn't realize until after I got it in that it's designed for a thinner wall ( < 5/8"). Mounted behind the 1" wall the trim plate didn't leave room to attach the hose, so I had to leave it off. I plumbed it with 3/8" PEX tubing so the hot water would arrive quicker from the basement, which worked well. Next time I would mount it outside the wall and make a box to hide the workings, or in the side of a vanity cabinet, or behind 1/2" or 5/8" drywall.The main thing is my GF is thrilled with it, even without the trim plate. I will definitely install more of these.Note: After one week of service, the plumbing attachments started leaking (see photo). Advice online had led me to use American (NPT male) fittings screwed into the female straight G-thread. I used plenty of pipe dope, and it didn't leak at first. It turns out the main casting cracked where the male NPT elbow screwed into the female BSP hot water inlet (see photo). I tried BSPxNPT adapters, but the cracked casting still leaked even with lots of pipe dope. I finally solved the problem by soldering the adapters into the casting (I took it apart first to avoid overheating the rubber parts). The adapters were hard to find, expensive, and took a week to arrive. I think NPT adapters should be included in units sold in USA. The unit itself is great, and I will install another.

This product is very well made. I really like that you can adjust the water temperature so it doesn't literally freeze your you know what off. It definitely required additional fittings but I was able to find them at the local hardware store. I’ll add photos. The one thing that was a bummer is that it didn't come with a template to drill the holes. I was able to install this into the side of the bathroom vanity since its close to the toilet. I originally used teflon tape on the brass fittings but it leaked so I ended up taking the connector fitting off and using pipe dope thats NSF 61 compliant for potable watet systems also available at your local hardware store. Once I got all the fittings nice and tight I let the pipe dope to set up for about 1 hour. I then assembled the bidet sprayer into its final location and it fit like a glove and it functions perfectly with no leaks. Ill include pictures of all the fittings used along with a picture of the templete. I recommend it just put together your game plan together before you start cutting and drilling away! hope this helps.

We got this installed in one of the second floor bathrooms in our brand new home. The product worked fine for a week and then one day we saw water leaking to first floor, damging a portion of the ceiling. The faucet looked like a good quality product but is too weak to withstand the normal domestic water pressure. Probably we received a defective piece but very disappointed.
