Great For Mojitos and More
If you enjoy a cool mojito after a day in the garden, or for any other reason, this is a great mintMy mint patch was easily started in a 2 foot square in a sunny location, and over the course of two years it spread into a 2 foot by 8 foot patchI have since transplanted 1 foot chunks of the mint in a variety of sunny spots in my yardNot only is it great for mojitos, but it makes a great pestoEvery Summer I strip leaves from every edible plant in my yard, run them through my food processor, add some olive oil, grated cheese, and walnuts, and I have a great pesto until the next Summer. It freezes well in half cup measuring cup “hockey pucks”Any plant in the very large mint family will work, and many “weeds” and flowers are edibleEach harvest will be a little different, but I’ve never had a bad batch
