This lives up to all the claimed specs
I was quite pleasantly surprised with the performance, features, and ease of use at this price point. We bought it for amplify a solo acoustic instrument, playing with a backing track coming from a Bluetooth device. The Bluetooth pairing and performance works very smoothly and reliably so far (tried an Android and iOS device). The mixing controls and Treble/Bass adjustments are adequate. It is often convenient to reduce the treble to reduce some hiss in the sound sources. It comes with a cheap mic and cable, that might be handy and is probably good enough for something like karaoke. We are using an SM57 dynamic mic. The mic preamp doesn't have quite enough gain to compete with a loud backing track, but it is reasonable. You might need a preamp for optimal results, e.g., to use this for a serious performance.I have no issues with the sound quality at this price point and for a PA that is only monaural anyway. I would also note that it is pretty good at feedback avoidance - better than I expected (or feared).Overall, a great value for the money. I will update with reliability over time.

Works outdoors, excellent speaker, great features/controls FIVE PLUS STARS!
Used this for a youth camp that had lots of outdoor gathering places with wide open spaces. Clear sound, carried well, able to hear very well for about 100 people in an outdoor amphitheater surrounded by trees or around a flag with wide open fields. I could even hear the soft-voiced shy 12-year-old girls very clearly.Loved the ability to adjust mic or aux sound. Bluetooth worked like a charm! Able to adjust base so can help tune down that deep base for better voice or turn it up for better dance music. Able to even fill a huge meeting hall (occupation 350) where acoustics are horrible but sound still as clear and good as the $1000 speaker system installed.Only thing I would add would be a way to store the cord/mic and have a carrying strap to haul it around. The handle is great, but when you are walking 1/2 a mile, it gets a little cumbersome.Sound is really good, and my teen daughter loves to use this as her bluetooth speaker at home. Charged once for a whole week of use. One charge easily lasts 8 hours. Because of the type of battery, will have to charge periodically (can't just store it away for another year), but that should not be problem given how much my daughters use it around the house. Could also be great for karaoke.I would DEFINITELY recommend this speaker for an outdoor gathering PA system. It was absolutely amazing!

Good for use with my EWI solo
I bought the Behringer amp to use with my EWI solo (electronic wind instrument). I had previously borrowed a Bose S1 from a friend for use in performances. I really liked the deep bass and good overall loudness of the Bose. I was going to buy one, but it is considerably more expensive than the Behringer, so I thought I'd give the Behringer a chance, and it works just fine for my purposes.

Coach Kim says, "Give it 5 Stars!"
I did a lot of research before buying this speaker. I had very specific needs; I wanted a loud, quality, Bluetooth, battery powered speaker for my daughter's soccer practices. I didn't care about the microphone, pairing with another speaker or a line out.I have a Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 3, which sounds incredible and can be loud in the house, but it just wasn't enough outside on battery power. I needed something with more reach. Also, the Harman Kardon speaker is too nice to be taking to soccer practice. The Behringer is great for this purpose. It is surprisingly loud for a battery powered speaker. I took it outside to test it and it gets loud. It sounds good, too!I tested the range of the Bluetooth and I was able to get 75-100 feet away before the Bluetooth started dropping out. Having said that, beyond 25' I wasn't able to control the volume as finely from the streaming device. It was a subtle difference. The Bluetooth connects easily, every time. The audio input worked fine. The frequency range (from the manual) is 45 to 18K Hz.Dimensions: 17.5" H x 12.5" W x 9" DBattery: sealed lead acid, which is cheap to replace.(All information I was looking for when I researching this speaker)There is a nice hand-hold in the back for carrying it around. I had considered the Pro version for the handle and wheels, but I'm glad I didn't get the Pro version. If you look at the ratings for MPA40BT compared to the MPA40BT-Pro, the Pro appears to have a higher rating. It bugged me as to why this speaker would have a lower rating the the Pro, when they are the same speaker. So, I did a little math - I calculated the weighted average for both speakers, based on Amazon's star rating percentages, and they are/were within 1% of each other, with the non-pro being higher. Amazon has a "unique" algorithm for calculating the star percentages.I'm very happy with this speaker.Coach Kim and the kids love it! It cranks the tunes at practice!
