Have EBV? Please read.
This book saved me. I rarely writes review but wanted to help people suffering from EBV. It took me 1 1/2 years to get over this due mostly to Dr Kines knowledge she shares. Kines is one of the few doctors who really studies this. I had EBV “unleashed” -possibly from COVID but most likely my bad gut biome and a loss of a partner (stress) created the perfect storm for it. Plus I was on UTI antibiotics my entire life (now take D Mannose-awesome).EBV Symptoms:gut issues galore, exhaustion, viral aches, low immune system. My body felt like it was constantly attacking myself. I knew I would die in years like this. Never ever had I been through this. I was 55 when this started. I went from being an extremely healthy person working out to sick over night-after a year I had lost all muscle mass, had brain fog, and hit slowed down to a snails pace. I thought I had diverticulitis, then a ton of other possibilities. No doctor could nail what I had u til I finally asked to test me for EBV because I felt achy and inflamed like when I had viruses in the past.My doctors: Primary, internal, GI were only treating systems of these other possibilities but EBV was not better. Have your EBV tested by blood test. They are clueless in the medical world unless you can find someone that studies EBV. A needle in the haystack. Don’t take antibiotics because it strips the gut. Watch Netflix “Hack your health:The secret of gut biome”. At the base of this is probably poor gut biome usually. And it takes a year to build it back. After one year, $4K of scans, tests, etc. lost work opportunities-I finally turned to functional medicine and listened to Dr Kines podcast that came with her free lessons when you sign up. I bought this book. I started building my gut biome back 6 months into this process. Less coffee. No alcohol. Probiotics. Vegetables, Fiber.Summing this up briefly to help people. Western medicine is not very helpful Find the best functional medicine person near you who specializes in EBV, follow this Dr Kine’s protocol in the middle of her amazing and overwhelming book. The monolaurin was the most effective along with the rest of the supplements. Her podcast said not to take it but her book said yes. I spent $300 on supplements which I know sounds extreme but I had been one year into unsuccessfully treating EBV and felt like my body was attacking itself. $300 compared to $4K of western medicine unsuccessful treatment was nothing. Dr Kines unfortunately is very expensive one on one. You can do her group. I did not. I got someone local who confirmed supplements were a good idea but asked to make sure I was taking monolaurin for next 6 months. I think that was the one that tipped me over and put my EBV “(monster) back in the closet.” Get this book so you understand. Follow the protocol. Take the Monolaurin but watch out for side effects. I think Dr Kines have seen some patients with bad side effects while taking it. One of her podcasts talks about it. But it was the game changer for me. I am now back to normal status and working out almost daily now. I watch everything I consume and still make a ton of supplements but stoped Monolaurin when I felt like the virus was gone (3-4 months). I hope this helps. Heal your gut biome and treat it like a garden from this point on and look at the bad things you put into. Follow her life changing protocol. I jump back in the protocol when. I have been nutritionally naughty and/or feel like EBV might be creeping back. Our health stems from our gut. Good luck!

The best ALL-IN-ONE user manual for food, supplements, blood tests, and so much more!
All I can say is WOW! For anyone suffering from EBV, or even just anyone that’s tired, this book has SO much well-researched information that will be sure to help you. I’ve personally read a few other books, and tons of articles online, and this book blows them all out of the water in terms of sheer volume of content, published studies, and easy straightforward tips that you can implement TODAY.Since Dr. Kines is a Doctor of Clinicial Nutrition, I was expecting the book only to be about food and dieting. I was shocked to find SO much more useful information to improve your overall life. For example, she goes into great detail about other things that may impact your life, energy, and well-being including water filters, shower filters, EMF radiation, stress, skin, detox, binaural beats (so cool), Vitamin C IV, fluoride, tons of blood/genetic tests that you can do yourself from home, exercise, driving, microwaving, and so much more.Since I’m an OCD Type A kind of person, I made a Google Sheet to summarize my notes from the book, and I can tell you that it includes, and writes in detail, about over 34 supplements, 13 teas, 34 fruits & vegetables, 13 oils (some good, and some she recommends avoiding), 24 herbs, 29 food items (proteins, etc…), I still need to categorize 58 more items (spices, nuts, fruits, drinks, berries, etc…), and I still have a lot more to go. So yes, there is a TON of great actionable information that you can take straight to the supermarket and then into your kitchen and into your body! After reading, summarizing, and executing on some action items on the book, I went a step further and actually purchased a 45 minute virtual “Strategy Session” with Dr. Kines. If I thought the book was good, in person (so to speak, considering it was virtual), she’s even more impressive. I can’t believe how much we were able to accomplish in 45 minutes. We went over my prior blood tests, my symptoms, why I think EBV reactivated, my daily food/drink habits, and exactly 19 questions for her that she answered. It was a pleasure sharing all this info with a true knowledgeable professional, that was clearly super interested in hearing EVERYTHING about me, and putting on her detective hat to try and figure out all the possible causes of my symptoms.I’ve been to 4 numerous doctors over the last 4 years, and I had maybe 5 minutes max with each one, what a joke. After my last doctor told me, “You have EBV and will have to learn to live with it”, I figured enough is enough, let me go one step further to find out how to beat this things because right now it’s beating me. As Dr. Kines says, “I am sick and tired of being sick and tired!”. By the end of the call, I had a checklist of 23 things I can start trying, from food, to drinks, to supplements, and some blood/urine/stool tests to check for iron, adrenals, food sensitivities, mold, thyroid, and other deficiencies if I wanted to investigate further. She also took more time to thoroughly explain the different options of working together with her, which I definitely will be doing. Finally, I have some real hope that I will be able to drastically improve my life in the next 4 months.A quick vent about all the haters with the 1 star reviews on this book:1. Did you even bother reading the entire book, or are you just online trolls? You are doing a MASSIVE disservice to thousands of people around the world that could benefit from this book. If you are such an amazing expert who knows everything, why haven’t YOU taken the time and energy to spend years of your life giving away SO much valuable information for less than the cost of going to dinner?2. I’m not sure why someone mentioned she didn’t speak about the immune system – hello, every single thing she speaks about is about the immune system!! Do you think she’s recommending to eat specific foods and take certain supplements for the fun of it?! No! It’s to strengthen your ENTIRE body, including your immune system. I’m sorry if you need it spelled out for you on every single page, but it’s not fair to attack the author and make false statements.3. If you watch Dr. Kines videos, you will know she has 0 ego. She is warm, inviting, and truly passionate about helping people with EBV. As an author myself, I know that you need to “sell yourself” in the beginning pages of the book in order to show the reader why they should listen and trust you. Only once you establish your credentials and credibility, can the reader open up towards you.Plain and simple - if you’re serious about getting better, you need to add this book to your arsenal, and get Dr. Kines involved in your life.

I'd say the info in this book saved my life
2 years ago I developed a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes and fatigue and dizziness. My tongue was also white. I took antibiotics, and it did not get rid of it. Then i took an antifungal, thinking it was perhaps a fungal infection, and it still did not get rid of it. Then I began going to the doctors, out of great concern, because nothing would resolve my symptoms, and they were progressively getting worse. None of the doctors knew what was causing my symptoms, and some even suggested it was merely stress, and another doctor said I had sleep apnea. They were all clueless. Finally I came across one doctor who said that my symptoms sound like mono. She then did an antibody test, and it came back positive for a recent EBV infection. I was astounded by this finding, but was finally relieved to have an answer to what was causing my symptoms. The doctor didn't even know how to treat me, but told me to just drink water and that it will pass on its own in a few months. I didn't want to wait that long, so I began researching how to heal from EBV. I came across Kasia Kines book, among other materials I found on the internet. I would say the one thing that worked for me was the Lauricidin. Literally within 2 days from taking this extract my tongue went from white to pink. It was tremendous and even my own mother was shocked. All my symptoms resolved within 2 weeks of continuing to take the Lauricidin. And to this day, I still continue taking the Lauricidin, out of fear of the mono returning. I have also read that EBV is linked to various other sicknesses like MS, which I also fear. So i take a small dose of Lauricidin daily to keep these sicknesses away. Hope this information helps others.
