Very effective, helps back up medical advice from Doctor & Vet, cleari.
I am not a medic, but this does the job of looking after my husband & Labs ears..Neat, effective..comes in a case with additional size nozzles, which is why I purchased it for my Lab who is prone to her ear flaring..& my husband who has severe ear infections & no pain!! Surprised how effective..we can then make sure cleaned well to limit visits to the medical teams that care for them both, as our Lab is a 'scardy-cat!' really. it is also a way of familiarising her with a piece of equipment that is used frequently on her.

Works
Visually this is great value as it works and TM can be seen well enough. Stored with the head piece detached from the body and is tricky to put these 2 together before use, fiddly, hence only 4 stars. For an otoscope for a visit bag, it’s superb value for money

Really good product
This product is very good! We can see down all my children’s ears to make sure they don’t have a big build up of wax or anything else down there. They have different sizes as well, very easy to clean as well.

Larger and heavier C batteries required (not included)
Must confess I assumed the smaller AA batteries would be required to operate a simple handheld device like this and was a bit surprised that it needed two of the larger C batteries to operate. This makes the unit quite bulky and heavy like an old fashioned torch. These are not included and you may not have these lying around like you would the more commonly used AA or AAA batteries.Other than that the Otoscope does what it is supposed to do and seems quite well made, if a bit heavy especially with the batteries fitted.

Otoscope
Difficult to see anything, the plastic ear pieces are crudley finished with sharp edges on the nozzle end. needs polishing up to save from damaging the inside of the ears.
