Common Chives Seeds - Heirloom Herb - Non-GMO 1000 Seeds

Some reviewers have commented that there couldn't be 1,000 seeds in the packet. With the plastic "thimble" show in the top of the photo, I drew 12 randomly sized circles on a paper plate, and counted out 90 seeds to fill the first circle. I then filled the others (without counting of course) and found that I have about 970 seeds, and this is AFTER I took seeds from the packet for the first planting.I put sixty seeds in my Aerogarden Hydroponic garden and at least 40 sprouted. As time went on I had at least 60 individual chive stems.At first I discovered I was underfeeding, after I corrected the feeding cycle I got beautiful and tasty chives, many stems grew to over 18".I'm very happy with the seeds and getting ready to do three more plantings of 45 seeds each so that I can cycle through the plants and always have fully recovered plant at harvest time.

EDIT: "And the package says it's 2,000 seeds!" Was wrong. It said 1,000. I should have worn my reading glasses, but still......It might be 150, maybe 300 at the most. I got approximately a tablespoon of seeds out of TWO packages. Chive seeds are small, but they're not microscopic.If they're doing it by weight based on the average weight of a chive seed, then they either need to calibrate their scales or remember that the weight of the bag doesn't count. Or maybe they're just lying. Like, stick whatever in the bag and call it 1,000, because: what are we gonna do? Actually count them?I'm a pretty experienced herb gardener, and I know I got ripped off. Didn't return them because I really wanted to get some chives in the ground, but sheesh. What a nervy con. 1,000? Joke.

I didn't have very good luck. I think I need to gather more information about growing chives.

Mine didnt grow, not sure if I planted incorrectly. Other reviews are good.

I used the rosemary seeds in my AeroGarden and within 2 days they were growing!! Going forward I’ll get all my seeds there!

Made several attempts at planting the seeds and they never sprouted. Not sure if this was an old batch that I received or what the problem was.

There were lots of seats. They grew very well
