Russian Royal Tea Delux - Loose 250g

A delicious loose tea suitable for brewing by the pot. Has a very full, rich taste with an extra nuance similar to Earl Grey but that's not it. At first I thought I caught a slight hint of vanilla but now don't think that is it either. The best thing about this tea is that even though it has a hearty flavor, is definitely not mild, it does not become bitter, even if forgotten and steeps to long. The tea leaves are large, as large as cilantro leaves, after the tea has steeped. You can make it by the single cup using a little one or two cup pot. But a typical tea ball will not hold the puffed leaves and stems, even for a single cup. If you have a larger tea ball or a very small strainer and pour your boiling water through it, that would work. One reviewer said they thought the box was "ugly". On the contrary, I think it to be quite attractive with Czar Nicholas on one side and Czarina Alexandra on the other. I put the foil pack on tea leave into a zip lock plastic bag, keep it in the box and enjoy looking at it.The tea arrived very promptly, in 5 or 6 days, and the U.S. postal service delivered it on a Sunday. I thought perhaps I had signed up for Amazon Prime without knowing it but checked and I had not. I want to contact European Importing Co in Sacramento Ca to see if they have any similar teas to try. Som reviewers called it pricey but it cost around $11 for an 8 oz box and with shipping came to about $18. How many times could I go to Starbuck's for that price? Maybe four. I know I'll enjoy many more cups of tea for that amount money and you're not going to get anything as good at a restaurant or coffeeshop. I highly recommend if you're used to brewing tea in a pot without tea bags.

Amazing deep flavor, yet not harsh. A friend made me a cup of this Russian Tea and I am hooked. It's fantastic. I'd say a strong morning tea but I would drink it anytime.

This is my favorite tea. Good aroma, strong flavor, and nice color.

Smells amazing but the taste is weak for a black tea and I know how to make a good cup of tea lol I even tried adding more to make it stronger but same result just darker color Wont buy again.

I don't get it....some folks say, 'I think there is a bit of flavoring'...or something similar. To me it is overpowering and very unpleasant, like tossing a few flakes of floral soap in the cup. In my memory of the ad I saw, it read, Pure Ceylon Tea. The box ingredients label reads, Tea, natural flavors. That's not 'pure tea' in my view. Maybe the box of 'natural flavors' was spilled into my box of tea. I can't drink it.
