最初からこれにすれば良かったです。
スマートフォンの写真と動画のバックアップに使用しています。挿すだけのシンプルな使用感、USB Type-A と C の両対応、書込み速度の速さ、十分な容量… 等々、全てにおいて満足しています。USB Type-A のみの PC にデータを移すこともでき、容易で、助かります。USB Type-C ケーブルで繋ぐ、容量の大きな外付け SSD を購入したところ、突然スマートフォンで認識されなくなり、何を試しても駄目で諦め、こちらを購入しました。使えなくなった外付け SSD より安価なのに、ずっと良いです。はじめからこれを選べば良かったです。

大容量データ転送時には熱による速度低下に注意
速度は公称値に近いが、大容量データを書き込むと発熱で一気に速度が落ちる。36GBの写真データ（複数ファイル）を転送した場合、1回目の書き込みでは約525MB/sで書き込みを終了したが、同じデータを連続して書き込むと2回目は書き込みの途中でサーマルスロットが働き途中から270MB/s前後で推移。3回目は最初から270MB/s前後での書き込みとなった。

古いPCで外部から起動するためにChromeOSflexをフルインストールしました。内部SSDはWindows、外部SSDはChromeOSflexと使い分けできて助かりました。速度も十分実用に耐えるレベルでした。大容量の転送を行っても熱もさほど気になりません。次回購入するときもまたこの商品を買うと思います。

めちゃくちゃ熱くなる
ちゃんと使えますがめちゃくちゃ熱くなりました。ただこれはデータ転送速度が送る側のUSB的に遅いことが原因かもしれません。あまりに発熱するので小さめのヒートシンクをゴムで縛り付けて使いました。
