Liked the explanation of the differences, the table listing features included in different price points and most importantly, the comprehensive list of manufacturers. The list of manufacturers includes ratings, locations, time in business, and partnerships. I’ve already shared this book with family members considering this type of building.

Excellent book for comparing different brands/manufactureres of New Mobile Homes. I've found it very useful while searching for a used home to buy. I would like to see something like this for older models and obsolete brands but this one goes a long way. I now know which manufacturers sell in my state, What their typical prices are, How well they are constructed on a scale of 1 to 10. It does not break the value down to specific models but there is a chart i can compare with what ever home I'm looking at to see how it compares with the others.If I had found this book at the library I would go out and buy my own copy.

We bouight this buyers guide when we began looking for a used manufactured home a year and a half ago. I read the descriptions and reviews of various homes and settled on several to include in my search. As we began to actually look at the homes, I began to notice that the descriptions and specifications in the book did not match those of the homes we were looking for. one examble was that some home models were described in the book as having six inch outer walls when in fact the ones we looked at had four inch walls. Perhaps when ordering such homes new, one could have specified six inch walls, etc, However, that was not clear to me as I read through the book. This was a decent place for us to begin, but we discovered that what we found in the book had to be verified or found to be unvarified by looking at the actual home.

If you are considering buying a mobile home/manufactured home - you need this guide! The author has done an outstanding job packing all the up-to-date information you need to avoid costly mistakes and disappointment in a user friendly format. You will feel totally enabled to make the best decision for your home. Can't recommend it enough. We purchase both the online version and hard copy.

I have found this book very useful and informative. My only complaint and it's a big one, is that the entire thing is typeset in Comic Sans font which is awful. It would also be beneficial if the ratings were sorted from Good > Bad or at least a list of the top 10 quality manufacturers, etc. Trying to bypass the awful page layout, and wade through the comic sans chaos is hard, however, the information contained inside is very helpful and I would recommend this to any Manufactured Home neophyte. Even the back cover is a chaotic, however, I am sure, or rather I hope, Mr. Grissim will get some help with this on the next edition.

Loaded with info.I ordered this for my father to help him in his quest to purchase the right manufactured home for him.

The Grissim Guide is a wealth of information about the many companies building homes and their various dealers. It is detailed in all aspects, from the structures of a typical manufactured home, to the quality and reliability of the builders. Highly recommended.

Clear, easy to follow and understand. Extensive researching of the manufactured home industry is evident. I actually enjoyed reading Mr. Grissim's guide and felt that he offered an unbiased and trustworthy opinion of the different manufacturers.
