Great product easy to use
Very impressed with this product, first time using these , I watched some you tube tutorials first , I practiced on some scrap resin prints first . Couple of pointers. Make sure you use the correct size drill bit , I had better success with a slightly smaller bit than recommended. And set the correct temperature on your soldering iron, I found around 200 - 220 for my resin melting point and slowly let them sink.Would definitely recommend these and will re order when I need too

With a simple soldering iron and insert adapter these produce a smart result
Does as expected. The double helical fins ensure a secure insert that feels as tough as the plastic. Assembly is clean, no more worn-out plastic screw-holes and ensures repeatable use where disassembly multiple times is expected. Lots of sizes to ensure finding the right one for a job. I printed a test plate with several sized holes to ensure that my CAD and printer made the precisely correct fit. After that very plain sailing. Good value,

Great item for 3d prints
Great item purchased for 3d prints. My only criticism is that some of them are very tiny so I can’t imagine using them.

Excellent does exactly what they are supposed to do.
No issues at all, doesn't include the thing you use on the soldering iron to make it easier to put them in but to be honest it didn't need it. Just stick on the end of the iron and push.

Decent thread inserts
These are great thread inserts for those who like making 3D printed projects. It starts with the smallest at M2 for tiny project then in increments M2.5, M3, M4, M5 and finally up to M6 for mid to larger size projects. There are also differing depth:2.5, 3 & 4mm for M24 & 5mm for M2.54, 5 & 6mm for M34, 6 & 8mm for M47 & 10mm for M58 & 12mm for M6The case they come is nice an handy too, to keep everything organsied. At 13 quid at the time of writing I think this is decent value for the about of thread that come in this pack.

Nice inserts for 3D prints at a fair price, correct shape for post-inserting with a soldering iron.
This set of heat set inserts arrived in the typical multi section plastic container with a latch that everyone’s seen before with screws and other small items sets they’ve purchased. The lid has a HOLMOL branded & informative sticker placed on it that tells you the location, the quantity and the size of each piece in the box. I’m generally not a huge fan of these containers because most of the time the contents arrive in a jumbled mess, but thankfully this seems to be one of the good ones because everything in this set arrived in its intended space.I’ve got a dedicated heat-set insert soldering iron tip for my Pinecil V2 but these will drop right into a well-toleranced 3D print with pretty much any soldering iron tip at the right temperatures for whatever material you’re using. All the sizes printed onto the label match up with what you get in the box with a quick check with my callipers. I've also had no issues using the ones from this kit interchangeably from the ones I imported in bulk in the same sized holes and insertion techniques. Each size takes the matching sized metric screw without a problem and they’re something every 3D printing enthusiast should have on hand, they’re super handy and very commonly required for online projects. As I mentioned in the title, I consider this mix to be of decent value if you aren’t entirely sure what you may want or you need a small quantity of a specific size on short notice. The current asking price of £12.99 is right around the typical asking price for a set of this quantity on Amazon though. Like any multi-size mixed set it's not going to be the best value option if you need more than 10-50 pieces of one size, but if you want to cover your bases and have inserts for anything up to M6, this is a viable option.

Much better 3D printed cases.
These are able to be heat-pressed into my 3D prints with just an ordinary soldering iron. Once in place, they seem to stick very well, and this means I can now use proper little machine screws to hold things like lids onto my 3D printed boxes. Very nice to have a selection too.

Great value kit.
Great for inserting mounts into 3d printed designs. I replaced a glued metal rod with these inserts, really easy to use, just pop onto end of soldering iron and press into existing hole. Job done. Lots of sizes in kit, will be used for long time to come. Really happy with product.
