I’ve been using this mat daily for two weeks, and overall, it’s a great product. It came well-packaged, had no chemical smell, and rolled out flat immediately—no annoying curling or settling time.✔️ Cushioning & Stability: The 8mm thickness hits a nice balance. It’s soft enough to be easy on the joints (especially my knees) but firm enough that I don’t feel like I’m sinking or losing stability. I’ve used it for HIIT, pushups, yoga, and stretching, and it holds up well across different workouts.✔️ Grip & Non-Slip: This thing does not move. I use it on laminate flooring, and even during high-intensity workouts, there’s zero slipping or bunching. The surface works well whether I’m barefoot, in socks, or wearing shoes. One side is designed to grip the floor, and the other for workouts. Both do their job well.✔️ Size & Portability: The 6’ x 4’ size gives plenty of space to move without stepping off. It’s especially useful for VR fitness since it sets a clear tactile boundary for movement. Rolling it up is easy, and the storage bag is actually big enough to fit the mat without a struggle.⛔ The Straps Could Be Better: My only complaint is the included straps. One arrived broken, and they feel flimsy and awkward to use. I ended up replacing them with Aolamegs 20x2 Elastic Yoga Mat Straps, which work much better.FINAL THOUGHTSFor the price, it’s a solid mat—comfortable, durable, and great for joint support. If you need a large workout mat with good grip and cushioning, this is a great option. Just be prepared to swap out the straps if you plan on storing it regularly.

Finally added photos from when it arrived.******************************************************************I was apprehensive due to cost and the negative reviews, especially about the durability. However, this is a purchase that has made me very happy*I love the cushion factor (compared to a regular yoga mat)*My hands and feet don't slide at all on this mat (as I did on my regular yoga mat)*So far I have not had any issues with durability, but I use it solely for exercise/yoga and I do keep out on the floor most of the time, but I don't casually walk on it*My only wish is that I would have bought blue instead of black, and maybe a larger size (XL?) although this one (Large) is plenty large for my 5'4" frame. This isn't a size you would probably take to an exercise class or studio, but for home it is awesome!*I have experienced NO off gassing chemical smell with this product as I was worried about based on someone's review (I believe this product is made of all natural material based on what read on the company website, can't recall for certain).*The mat came well packaged, but not in a box... a large yoga bag with the labels on that bag. I was in new/unused condition as it came from Gorilla Mats, not some 3rd party seller (well...I guess amazon fits 3rd party seller..so maybe I mean 4th party seller?)*This product makes me very happy and it is nice to say I have had no regrets about the product or the cost. It has exceeded my expectations so far.

Top quality product as described. Even its storage bag, storage straps and towel it comes with are nice! Lays flat with no curling at the edges. Very comfortable to workout on. You feel both supported and cushioned when using it. Highly recommended.Oh yea, if that’s not enough to encourage you to make the order, they are a small family operated business.Order the mat you won’t regret the purchase.

It’s great, except for the smell. Still smells after over a month. But, this is the best I found

I workout at home and was looking for a sizable mat that I wouldn’t have to turn sideways to do weighted lunges or yoga poses. I saw one of the YouTubers I work out with uses this mat so I took the chance when it went on sale and it did not disappoint. I use this mat many times per week and it has held up nicely. It is large so it can be a little cumbersome to roll up and secure with the Velcro straps but other than that it’s great. I lift weights, do dance workouts, yoga and cardio. I’ve worn tennis shoes on it but I usually go bare foot. This mat has a nice amount of cushion and grip as well.

I was really looking for a mat that was between $50-$75 but decided to purchase this and make an investement in me. You see I work out in my kitchen/dining room daily on a slippery laminate floor. I had the interlocking blocks that kept coming apart, then I added a simple yoga mat on top of it. As time passed the mats all started wearing and become super messy and continued to slide on the floor. What I wanted was a mat that I could use for low impact workouts including weights lifting and yoga. I considered a horse stall mat for the cost savings but dediced I wanted something that I could roll up out of the way. Then I considered a Manduka yoga mat. I finally decided on the Gorilla mat based on recommendations from a few Facebook fitness groups I am in. I like that I am purchasing from a family business as well as the lifetime guarantee. Although I have only had it for a week, my workouts feel better since my feet and the mat are not moving around. I'm hopeful this will last me and I never need to use the warranty.
