Great ruck sack
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Tatra Trail Hiking Backpack, and I must say, I'm quite impressed with its overall performance and features. As an avid hiker and occasional backpacker, I found this 85-litre rucksack a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and spacious pack without breaking the bank.Upon first inspection, the backpack's construction appeared sturdy, utilising durable materials that should withstand the rigours of outdoor adventures. The water-resistant coating provides extra protection for your gear, which is always a welcome feature when facing unpredictable weather conditions. One of the standout aspects of this backpack is its adjustability. The customisable back system and padded hip belt allowed me to fit comfortably, regardless of my body type. This adaptability is crucial for long treks, as it helps distribute weight evenly and reduces strain on the shoulders and back.Another plus is the abundance of pockets and compartments, offering ample storage options for organising your equipment. I particularly appreciated the separate bottom compartment, which is ideal for keeping sleeping bags or wet gear isolated from the rest of your belongings. While including a USB port and headphone access might seem gimmicky to some, I found it a convenient feature for those who rely on electronic devices during their outdoor pursuits. However, it's worth noting that this backpack is more suited for casual hikers or Duke of Edinburgh participants rather than serious mountaineers tackling challenging terrains.Regarding comfort, the ventilated back panel and padded shoulder straps performed adequately during my test hikes. However, I recommend additional waterproofing measures for your gear, as the water-resistant properties may not withstand heavy downpours.Considering its price point, the Tatra Trail Hiking Backpack offers good value for money. It's a versatile option for those planning weekend adventures or shorter backpacking trips. While it may not withstand years of intense use, it is an excellent entry-level pack for budding outdoor enthusiasts.

Great affordable backpack
The Trail Tatra hiking backpack (85L) is an excellent choice for those seeking a functional and spacious option without breaking the bank. Priced at just below £50, it delivers all the essential features you would expect from a backpack, making it a great affordable backpack. While it’s too early to fairly judge its durability, I don’t anticipate it being a lifelong companion for all my outdoor adventures. Compared to my previous, more expensive backpack (which has proven its worth over three years of intensive use), the Trail Tatra feels less robust. Its internal frame consists of two separate flat metallic bars that run vertically along its back. After taking it on two camping trips, my initial impressions have been positive in many respects. The 85L capacity is particularly impressive, accommodating easily my main camping gears, with space left for additional items. This big capacity is organized into various compartments: a large central section for bulkier items, two side pockets and two pockets at the top lid for storing smaller essentials.Regarding its comfort, the backpack performs decently, with padded back support offering reasonable ease during use. Over two outdoor trips, I’ve carried the Trail Tatra 85L (below its maximum capacity) for about four hours in total, and I don’t have major complaints about its comfort. However, I think that the shoulder straps could benefit from additional padding. At some moments, I’ve felt a bit of pressure close to my underarm by one of the shoulder straps. But as it’s not a constant burdensome, I cannot assess if it’s due to an improper position while walking. Another gripe is that, as expected, my back sweated despite the design meant to promote airflow. But I have this same issue with my previous backpack. So, I wouldn’t negatively judge this backpack for this issue. This backpack is water-resistant, but this doesn’t mean waterproofing. Thus, I've already got a rain cover that fits it and it could provide a valuable extra protection against adverse weather conditions.Overall, I think that the Trail Tatra 85L is a good option for beginners or casual backpackers, campers or travelers. It offers a good balance between affordability and functionality.

USB/Headphone Port.Really pleased with this Adventure Backpacking Backpack. Good size at 85L. Very well made using high quality materials. Water resistant with plenty of zip up compartments. Basically everything you could want from this type of Backpack.Made from 600D Oxford Fabric and with a Water Resistant PVC Coating this Backpack is built to stand up to whatever the elements decide to throw at you! Plenty of compartments to store all your bits safe and secure. All straps are well made and the stitching is excellent as is the padding (see attached Photos for a better idea). I also really like the adjustments available via the built in system. Regardless of your height or size, this bag delivers good support and comfort. As well as a breathable padded back and shoulder straps for comfort, it features a quick-release hip belt for even weight distribution. Plus, a hook-and-loop system, so you can easily adjust the height of the shoulder straps to suit your size. They have pretty much thought of everything with this bag, it even comes with a electrical charging port! Great if you are using a GPS device. Also allows you to store your portable charger safely inside the backpack and connect up Headphones for music on the go.All in all hard to fault this Backpack. Good size at 85L. Very well made and well thought out design. At £49.99 (Jan 25) I consider this good VFM. It’s up to the task and then some! Highly recommended.
