I quit buying table salt eons ago. Of course iodine is added to it. As I realized I need it for thyroid support I started taking iodine supplement from True Life Theraputics where I buy my organic CBD products! I totally trust this company to have top quality products and company integrity. Which is hard to find these days unfortunately.

This is a very effective iodine supplement. My blood labs proved this!

But is by no means optimal. Started on iodine/potassium iodide 2 days ago, and what a difference. Slept like a dead rock, which is quite a feat for a 20 yr chronic insomniac. And if it wasn't for animal care, I could have slept a whole 10 hrs like I did in my 20's-30's. That was a happy side effect (for me, anyway). As far as anything else, I have more energy, another happy side effect. Good thing, YOU try walking an Anatolian on a leash when you're half dead from lack of sleep.And to think I only bought it because a doctor recommended Lugol's and an increase in iodine/potassium iodide intake for fibroids (which remains to be seen). The True Life Iodine has 90 small tablets referred to "tablet form Lugol solution." Serving size is 1 tablet and each tablet contains 5 mg Iodine and 7.5 mg of potassium iodide. (Iodide is the form of iodine found in nature.) It is manufactured in the US. The body does not produce iodine so it must be obtained from food or supplements.I was reading Barbara Wren's book, "Cellular Awakening: How the Body Holds and Creates Light."https://www.amazon.com/Cellular-Awakening-Barbara-Wren-ebook/dp/B0047T66NU/She states, "Your human potential is far greater than you can possibly imagine and is intrinsically linked to what is unfolding within you at a cellular level. She states that a lot of research and many surveys have concluded that we need to take at least 12.5 mg (up to 37.5 mg) of iodine a day either in our diets or by supplements. Iodine has long been linked to thyroid function, but in reality it is required by every single cell within the body. She believes that iodine is fundamental to human health and especially important to brain function.I started taking True Life Iodine about 10 days ago. I haven't noticed any dramatic effects yet but I plan to continue taking it for the potential health benefits.

I have been using Iodoral for a number of months without any issues. I decided to try True Life Iodine, and within about an hour of taking this product I had the worst flare up of my (stable) facial rosacea, that lasted all day! I have not taken it again, and went back to my regular Iodoral without problems. I cannot recommend this product, and I understand it cannot be returned, so I am out $38.00. Buyer beware.
