Throw it under the floor board and now I receive daily reminder that there are rats or mice under there. Great quality and sensitive sensor, seems durable enough.

Purchased this item to allow me to remotely monitor when my 90 year old mum is going to bed at night and getting up in the morning. It has worked really well, giving me peace of mind whilst maintaining her privacy. I use it with the Smart Life app……you can pay a monthly sub for alerts and more in depth monitoring but I find just checking the movements once a day is more than sufficient at no cost.

Works well in the Tuya app, and easy to get into Home Assistant through the cloud based Tuya integration. Is pretty quick to detect the motion, but the detection does linger on for a pretty long time. It is also quite sensitive to any motion, capturing motion up to 7 metres away.It works well, it is battery powered, but it is all cloud based. The sensor pings the wifi, sends the data to Tuya servers, then the app updates based on this.

If like me you already have the smart life app then pairing this will be no trouble at all. The moment I opened the app after enabling the device, it also detected it on my network, and connected via Wi-Fi using the app. It took no more than a minute, and it then enabled itself. It comes with a sticky back for attaching firmly, and also a loop for a lanyard. It's very nice to look at, because it's small subtle and doesn't really get in the way, but it's also large enough that you don't use it. The interface with the smart life app is very good, and generally speaking I think which is perfectly fine for the price you pay
