We bought this item as the reviews looked decent. We have 2 children in car seats and with a big holiday abroad approaching we wanted an opportunity to try this before we desperately needed it.First things first. Our car has rails (but not ones this could attach to). We used the door hooks provided. From opening the bag to having it on the roof, secured and ready to go was approximately 20 minutes for our first time.Our outward trial journey it carried 2 large duffel bags, 1 large pram (travel system), 2 travel cot mattresses and a bed guard. It didn't shift at all and felt solid.Our return journey we fitted it and packed it in less than 15 minutes. It held 1 large hard shelled case, 1 medium hard shelled case, a duffel bag, the mattresses and the rail again. Again... no movement for the 2 hour journey home. It rolled up into it's bag on our arrival home in just a few minutes.If you're considering a roof box but don't have £100s to spend on one or don't have the space to store one (like us). I will recommend this to everyone. Particularly those with young children who appear to need to travel with a huge array of large equipment that outstrips even some of the largest boots!We are thrilled with this item.

It’s a very good way to have extra luggage when travelling with limited boot space. It’s waterproof, with good functionality, very good value for money. Build quality looks great with heavy duty material.

This car roof bag/box is incredible value and an no-brainer alternative to the crazily expensive roof bars and rigid roof box option. Holds more than you might think - we had 2 large suitcases in it and there was room for more. I was really impressed by the quality; nice thick material and all the seams appeared well sealed, the zip is of good quality and has a flap over to ensure it doesn’t let water through. Fitted to the car quickly and easily. Straps were good length, plenty long enough but not excessively long. Included padlock is a nice extra security touch. Can’t confirm it’s waterproof as was dry when we used it but it certainly feels as though it would be. Couldn’t hear any extra noise with it on the roof when driving and when we arrived at the airport (after nearly 2 hours at motorway speed) it had not shifted. So easy to store when not in use as easily folds up and goes back into its storage bag. Having done the roof bars with vehicle specific feet, and a rigid plastic roof box that cost £100’s, I will never do so again. This roof bag is much better idea for use a couple of times a year and then takes next to no space to store - I like a massive rigid roof box!

I took this on its first trip to peak district and it was good. It rained on the journey but everything was dry.Dimensions and the securing straps fit perfectly and securely tightly. Excellent product

I tried to buy a fitting to allo my roof bars to attach to the raised rails. Unfortunately the cost of teh fittings were more than the cost of replacement bars. However I needed a quick solution so I ordered the roof bag. It was very easy to fit and is secure. IT is also spacious and the material is very durable. It easy folds back into its bag. My only issue was with the straps and and they have to be tightened around the rails to secure the bag. The instructions assumed knowledge of how to use the ties so had to work it out how to tighten them down with the locking sliders. This was probably just me but the instructions on this could have been more detailed. However the bag is great and should last a long time.

I was looking for foldable car roof bag. As I don't need it on all the time only when we go for holidays/long trips. As if you always have a roof bagbin increases petrol consumption.Water proof material.Easy to wash material, wipe it.Easy to fold and doesn't take a lot of space in the storage.All zips are covered, so no water went in.Instruction manual included as well.I would say affordable price compare with solid roof boxes.

My car has no bars or any way of attaching a roof box. I’ve used the door frame mounted cross members before and they were a bit difficult and needed lots of adjustment. This goes straight on a non slip pad with a clever solution for the straps to attach to the car. Nothing moved at all and the flexible box is massive. One of my best purchases

Required 3 people to put in place for outward journey. It fulfilled the brief and kept our possessions dry and safe. It spent the return journey in its carry bag, in the boot of the car. A lot of effort involved but would use again if necessary.
