If you're doing a build, this is worth having.
If you're doing a build, you should be sure that you've got good headspace. You need to check it and this set affordable and accurate. On the small chance that the headspace is wrong, you need to know so you're not going to risk catastrophic failure and destroy your other parts and potentially harm yourself.I think there are other areas in building that you can compromise for cost, but ensure this part is correct. If not this set, get one. This set seems solid. They come in protective cases.

Does what it says it will do
Good for peace of mind if you replace a bolt or barrel. Most people probably don't bother with mil spec 5.56 and they may be right but it's a small price to pace to keep your face.

I built 3 rifles. A lot of reading on why you should have this so why not! Easy to use and it made me feel confident my rifles will function properly!

Min is goMax is noThe min should spinThe max should not.Test 5 barrels and only one was a little tight on min but still spunIt's works for quick checks. Best on new builds...Do not buy cheap guages...most of them are not to listed size.

Absolutely must have item!
If your building a rifle from scratch OR just changing out barrels, you absolutely NEED TO CHECK headspace! And these allow you to do just that. Do nit neglect this VERY IMPORTANT STEP!
