Bargain pack of six lovely city view paint by numbers
These lovely city view images lend themselves well to the block colouring nature of paint by numbers. Many paint by numbers are fun to complete but I wouldn't necessarily want to go on to display them. These images however are something I can see myself wanting to frame and hang and are the perfect size to work on. They would look good in those glass 20 x 30 cm frameless picture holders that you can also get on Amazon! The six paintings come individually wrapped and contain everything each painting needs to be completed. They would look excellent displayed together but you could also separate them and gift them in pairs, making them great value stocking fillers. At the current price of £19.99, that's just over £3 a painting, which is a bargain! I have a tendency to measure my hobby costs in relation to takeaways (money you'll never get back!) and this pack of paint by numbers represents hours and hours of fun for the cost of one takeaway! There is a nice mixture of palette colours here and I can't wait to get cracking. If your canvas is a little creased, you can iron it gently on the reverse. I then will use masking tape to tape it to a piece of stiff card, ready for painting. I find that it is good to arm yourself with a white acrylic pen before you start and you can cover over the numbers, one at a time, so they are less likely to show through your finished result and you shouldn't need to do two coats then. If you do need to do an extra coat, there is a number guide included in the pack so you don't have to worry about figuring out which colour it is once you can no longer see the number.People tackle their paint by numbers in all different ways. Some start in a corner and work in sections and some people pick a colour and do every section of that single colour. It's up to you! But I would advise, however you start, that you do the light colours first and then the darker colours as you get better crisp edges, with the dark colours going over the lighter colours easier. I have lovely memories of some of these places, Santorini and Amsterdam in particular, so it will be a joy to complete those but with the recent sunshine we have been experiencing, I think I'll start with California! If I run into any issues once I get going I will return and update my review but for now, five out of five stars!
