Welds similar to Miller
I’m absolutely amazed at what this welder can do on a 20a/120v plug. I’ve burned through many 3/32 rods and a few 1/8 rods. The breaker only tripped once when it was plugged into a plug strip. Plugged direct to a 120v outlet I had no issues. 220v ran flawlessly as well. Been using 6011/6013/7018/80T AC Plus, all good except make sure to use electrode + and ground - when using 6011! Hope this helps.

Works well
Works well. However, check your breaker rating. Normal operating current is right at 10 amps for this welder. Typical 120 volt circuit is 15 amps. There may be issues with long welding projects or already in use circuits tripping breakers. Otherwise, this welder exceeded my expectations.

Arc 205 awesome
Had my arc 200 for several months . Got the new 205 pro a few weeks ago . Arc captain is my new favorite weld machine brand been a Lincoln fan boy my whole life . On my arc 200 I upgraded the power cables and bolted several grounds inside the machine and it welds great , I burn ++++p 6010 all day no problem, no arc going out not fighting the machine , hood down I'm not knowing if I'm using a miller bobcat or arc captain . My new 205 ,opened it up and the build quality has doubled. Grounds bolted in almost same spots I did on my arc 200. Upgraded power cable, ground going straight to bolt on tied in w others. Wind tunnel , and fan on demand . Nice , I want to buy another. I really like both arc 200 and 205 . I put 205 and generator plus air compressor in my truck and lighter now than bobcat by itself. I will be getting mig 200 next and sell a few of my others .hands down get you a 205 now , if you have the skill can do serious work with arc captain.

Worked on 110v
Machine burnt 6013 rod on 110 v without any problems. Just use appropriate breaker and good to go.
