These extension poles unlock potential for some extra low or high angles and just make use more comfortable. This version has a super light carbon-fibre looking pole but quite a heavy / robust head section. Honestly that bit feels a little over-engineeres with these base plates for different gimbals that still ultimately attach with the same 1/4 20 screw mount.Overall its a very comfortable extension pole helped by the slightly fatter pole but it works well

The SMALLRIG Gimbal Extension Pole arrived professionally packed in a printed cardboard box bearing the Smallrig branding.In the box you get the extension pole and an additional 1/4" threaded adaptor to raise the mounting point out of the recess in the pole.The pole is designed for the DJI RS range of gimbals and is made from carbon fibre and adds an additional 15" in length to your gimbal setup.Obviously, using threaded adaptors the pole can be used with almost any gimbal and you are not restricted to DJI.Only 270g in weight the pole has a carrying capacity of 6kgs.Nice addition to the content creators equipment.

This isn't something you will use everyday, probably not every week either, but on those occasions that you do use it you will be glad you have it.Occasionally when shooting with a gimbal you find yourself trying to get a shot that requires just a bit more effort than usual, it could be over a crowd or a long drawn out low level shot, if you have experienced any of these you will be familiar with the body contortion that is often required and the added effort needed to maintain a steady shot.This alleviates both without adding any significant weight to the gimbal, it surprised me just how much difference that extra foot or so of reach could make and of course, being from Smallrig, I had no reservations trusting my expensive gimbal on it.It isn't for everyone but if you are the target customer I doubt you will find better!I got this product for free through the Amazon Vine program. When it comes to smallrig products i never question the quality its always excellent. It fits perfectly on my DJI RS 3 Pro stabilizer never had any issues and its actually great as it can be also a mini tripod stand as it has its mount for it. Im really impressed by its quality.Hope my review was helpful

It’s a good handle for the ronin rs4 but it’s not compatible with the Smallrig support strap, had to purchase another strap
