Very useful for 3D printing
Have never done threaded inserts on 3D prints before but this kit was excellent and includes a heating tip as well. I used the gas cooker and held the tip in a pair of insulated long nose pliers as could not find my soldering iron. Anyway worked a treat so am very pleased with my purchase

Easily add strong threads to 3D printed parts
you can often get away with cutting threads or even just ramming screws into undersize holes on 3D printed parts, but this is the professional option. It's best if you can insert the bush from the rear, so that the screw pulls the bush into the hole (don't make the big hole for the bush right through!), like that you don't have to worry about heating them, just make the counterbore 0.2mm smaller than the bush OD and press them in.If you can't access the rear of the hole then print the hole about 0.5mm smaller than the bush and apply heat before pressing the bush in. I used a drill press to do the pushing, I placed the plain end of the bush into the hole so that the knurl was stopping it going further, then just played a cigarette lighter on the top of the bush for 10-20 seconds before pressing it right down. Worked a treat - I couldn't be bothered to get the soldering iron out of the shed.

Well made
First of all, the quality is on spot!Apart of the 300 threaded inserts you also get 8 soldering iron adaptors for them and this is a big plus.

Nice addition for 3D prints
Good range of sizes and a handy storage box. Worked great to secure a clasp I’d printed.

Great inserts, terrible case
The threaded inserts themselves are absolutely fine – decent quality and do the job well. Unfortunately, the case lets the whole thing down. The internal dividers came loose straight away, so all the inserts got mixed up, which is a real pain. To make matters worse, the clip that keeps the case shut broke the first time I used it. Disappointing packaging for otherwise good inserts.
