It goes through the end. Not pushing stuff in. The water fills the rectum and the large intestine. You hold the water. (Enema, colonic) The warm water softens impacted waste. Then when you release the water out comes the impacted waste.

Q: What lubricants are safe to use with this?

Do NOT use Crisco as previously mentioned. Use either a commercial water based lubricant like KY or something natural and safe like coconut oil.

honestly you use it standing where as with an enama you are on your knees so i don't know
