I am a very frugal videographer and so, I don't think I'll be buying a drone anytime soon. But with this super-long pole and my reach, I can simulate drone shots and get the camera into a lot of hard to reach places. I can use it with an old Sony camcorder, and I've added a phone attachment and my Galaxy S24 and I'm having a lot of fun using this to add some great looks to my videos. Just to note - You need to twist the different sections to lock them into place, but once they are set, it holds up well for light cameras. I'm guessing I can get about 17 feet of reach with the pole - not bad for a short guy. It's lightweight, tough, and truly packable. If you're looking for budget and quality items for your video work, then this is the product for you. I'm very happy with it!

Quite literally the worst purchase I've ever made. I own MANY retractable 'pole" objects. From tripods and camera equipment, to rollers (painting) poles, mops, rods, curtain rods, and bulb changing poles. From cheap ones to expensive ones and even crappy ones, but this one takes the cake (for absolute worst.)I'm not even dissapointed at how flimsy it is. . I'm more dissapointed at the lock in system Even when the mechanism works, it's such an inconvenience, but that's if it even works. You will spind and spin trying to make it catch, and it just doesn't. Some joints do, others don't.And to close it (when it works) you can't lock closed a section at a time, like with other extenders. You have to wrestle with all loose joints before you can tighten every join.This things is useless for people who are looking for convenience and quickness, reliability.

I like the length when fully extended, and the material seems to be durable. But the locking mechanism is hard to operate and easy to over-tighten. The knobs are not present at every junction, so each segment must be tightened individually by twisting it relative to the segment below it. For me, the direction of turn for most segments is the reverse of my expectation (I expect to turn it clockwise when looking down from the top or narrow end to tighten), and the direction of turn is not consistent for every segment. I also sense that without over-tightening it (needing a tool to loosen it), it may collapse under the weight of a small camera or when jostled.

For the price difference this pole works great. A little floppy while riding my motorcycle bit the insta360 keeps it hidden. No complaints from me.

Stops working after 2 months. The top lock doesn’t lock any more and the warranty return window is only a month on Amazon. Angry and annoyed once again cheated and ripped off with cheap construction
