Great at first then disappointing
After using this for almost 2 weeks we have decided to return it and just get an amazon echo dot to use as a sound machine. The first night we used this it ran until it was manually shut off. I didnât think anything of it since I had not messed with the setting very much yet.For the following week it seemed to function as intended. The chosen sound would shut off after the amount of time you had selected and it would turn back on if baby cries for more than 4 seconds. Then it started to âmalfunctionâ. The sounds and lights would work fine until the timer ran out and it shut off, then when the cry sensor was activated it would just do whatever it wanted, half the time the lights just wouldnât turn on or it would do one or the other and never what I had it set on. Then the sounds stopped turning back on to what it was originally set to. If I had it on rain it would go to heartbeat or it just wouldnât come back on.Honestly I think the heartbeat upset my baby more than anything. We had to stop using the cry sensor, which was the main selling point that lead us to purchase this item. Iâm very disappointed because Marie is so cute and my boy was always happy to see her when he woke up or came in his room.Original review:My first thought when taking this out of the package was that it was smaller than expected and it hardly weighs anything. For all the features I expected a little heft. Lol.Regardless we are in love with it after the first day. The projector does not move, however it has an adorable design and itâs very clear on the ceiling. The night light has several levels of brightness which is perfect. There are more âlullabiesâ than we could even care to cycle through lol.We figured everything out without looking at the manual and found it to be very user friendly.Cons:The projector doesnât rotate. The instruction manual is not very detailed. The only thing that could make this night light better is if it had a built in baby monitor!!

Saved MY SLEEP!
SAVED MY LIFE. We tried a bunch of stuff when we started sleep training, but for my baby this did the TRICK. If my baby cries more than 30 seconds whatever noise you put then down with kicks back on for 10 min. I set it at night to run for 60 min then turn off. But you can set it for less or all night. Plus play your own music if you prefer and project stars on the ceiling! It can be plugged in or charged and last for about two-three days depending on how often you use the cry sensor.Everytime we go through a growth spurt and my baby wakes up - I know my trusty machine will kick on without me going into the room and settle her.Miracle product for us!

Not what I expected
This product advertised that it is constant sound for 30 minutes but that isn't true. It has a pause on the white noise and other sounds every 3-5 or so minutes and it drove my husband and I insane. We've since moved it into baby's room and it's fine. The battery works well. Oddly enough it recently started to malfunction. The normal button we hit for the white noise has added a song or so but only sometimes. So now instead of pushing it twice to get to the white noise we want occasionally we need to push it multiple times to get the sound we always choose. It's really weird. The song that often plays when it malfunctions is loud and can wake my baby. It's extremely frustrating.

Great
Helps my baby sleep with the music and the picture it displays is clear.

Cool! But also frustrating.
We loved this little beastie from the start! I still say it's one of the best purchases we made since our first child was born. My children needs white noise of some kind and are used to a sound machine app and music that I have always gone to sleep to, so I was excited the most about the option to upload mp3s of songs they were already used to. The light feature and the possibility to set the timer for 10, 30, 60 minutes or on repeat are my favorite. We have never needed the cry sensor, but I know it works from having it on timed settings before accidentally. We usually use it on mp3 on repeat during Naptime/bedtime. We also love the built in lullabye, they are soft and sweet and not as annoying and noisy as some lullabye toys. That being said, the volume control is clunky. It comes on automatically at the highest volume and the buttons are loud when you push them, so it's likely to wake baby if you haven't already got it set up. đŹ Also, sometimes when you push the volume button on ours, it changes songs as if you've pushed the lullabye button to switch to the next song, or the next button on mp3 to skip. Very jarring. My biggest concern is the fact that I uploaded a long playlist of songs from my laptop that the kids already like and the toy will only play maybe six out of twenty something songs. And it plays them at extremely varied ranges of sound. Playing the same songs on my computer they play fine and sound relatively equal, but on the toy one is really loud and the other is really soft. It's kind of frustrating.

Heartbeat sounds saved me so much sleep.
There is an automated heatbeat feature that I would use every night. When the baby starts to cry or fuss it will start playing a soothing BA BUMP heartbeat noise for a while. Would hold off on picking him up right away and more often than not, it would buy me an extra half hour to an hour of sleep. Now he's sleeping a full 7 to 9 hours at a shot at night before 3 months and I'm pretty sure this thing helped with that. Honestly don't use any other feature since he doesn't care about the music and the projection is kind of weak. Idea for improvement is to add a bit of weight to the base so it doesn't fall on it's side as easy.
