This moisturizer makes my skin feel dewy. The texture itself is pleasantly creamy, and you really only need to use a little at a time. It goes on smoothly and is absorbed into my skin with no oily residue. There’s a very light scent, which is refreshing, not at all overwhelming. I’ve been using this product for going on two weeks now and I feel like my skin looks brighter and feels, for lack of a better word, perkier. I’m currently sliding into my late forties, so I felt a retinol moisturizer was something I needed to add to my skincare routine. I’ve been using this every morning and evening to good effect.I generally use it after applying toner and serum, but on nights when I’m too lazy to deal with these other products I just apply Smooth Sailing and call it a night. Even on its own, it works really well. I recommend this product for anyone whose skin needs a bit of a boost, particularly anyone over forty who might be noticing the inevitable signs of aging skin. I imagine it would also be great for younger skin that just needs a bit of a pick-me-up for whatever reason.One bonus perk I don’t want to neglect to mention: Yesterday I found that, after applying Smooth Sailing, I didn’t need to apply foundation to show my face to the world. I think it’s because this product is so creamy, like in a really good way. It allows my skin to absorb the rest of my makeup without the need to slather on foundation. This alone makes it worthwhile for me, and overall I’m really pleased with this moisturizer.It's cruelty free (very important to me), the ingredients are natural, not weird, dubious chemicals, and it comes in a cute little container that looks nice on my bathroom counter. Why did you pick this product vs others?:My wife has been using Eight Saints products for awhile and wanted something moisturizing that contained retinol for her face so she got this. It also was on sale. Size:The small glass jar (we like that it isn't plastic) holds 2 ounces of product which isn't a whole lot. After about a week and a half she has used maybe 1/5 of it. You don't need much but can seem pricey when you get the small container. It'd be nice if they sold a larger one. Moisture level:She said it did a great job moisturizing her face and feeling great. The level on a scale from 1 to 10 is maybe an 8 for moisture.Skin softness:Skin felt a tad oily for a bit and then smooth and soft. Hydration:A good amount of hydration.Scent:The scent is pleasant and not overbearing. Smells kind of like lightly scented lotion? We aren't sure but it is mild and doesn't linger.All in all, my wife is pleased with this Eight Saints Retinol Facial Moisturizer Cream and would get again especially during a sale.
