Great to capture and then release little animals.
My 3 year old great granddaughter caught 10 frogs herself and proudly showed them off. Love a useful gift. Durable yet lightweight.

Great habitat for grasshoppers, frogs, and other small-medium size objects. It has a mesh netting for breathability and a see-through plastic door to catch, observe, and release. Carrying handle makes it easy to pickup and store. Very light-weight. Plastic orange, rectangular base for good stability. Recommend for anyone needing a simple habitat and for routine outdoor adventures / observation.

Great critter catcher!
My only complaint is that the door won’t stay open by itself when trying to put a critter in. It’s been a home for lots of worms and beetles so far

Mesh is replaceable. So practical
My 8yr old daughter wanted the Melissa and Doug cuter one and I thought the steel sides might be necessary. But after seeing the extra space and the practical design of this one, we were sold. The mesh is more likely to rip, but is easily replaceable with a screw driver. Also the door slides very easily, she had a hard time with the other. I wish they offered this in wood, but this is the best out there.

Great gift for bug enthusiasts!
I got this for my grand daughter who is turning 5. She loves catching all kinds of bugs! I got her a plastic bug cage last year which she loved but I thought she would like this one for the fireflies. She loves to take them in her room at night and this one has the netting which will add allow for lots of air circulation. Nice size but lightweight for her to carry. The door just pivots sideways so she doesnt have to fumble with any kind of latched. Plus it came with a little bugt that I'm sure she'll love to do. It has activities ike a maze and learn how to draw a bug...etc
