It was great! Had it my checked luggage where it kept my medication cold the entire trip and safe. It will come in handy I am sure for multiple types of trips. Btw, it has both a segment that can be frozen and be used in your checked luggage OR the other segment can be taken through TSA and then filled with ice, also comes with a handy cloth bag and thermometer to keep your meds away from the ice cold.

I bought this to travel with my diabetes medicine. I took it as a carry on in my purse. I had no issues at all getting through TSA, they just double checked to make sure the pack was actually frozen and not liquid. I will say though, I traveled internationally and has a slight issue coming home. I had to explain to them what it was, and that it was TSA approved and I needed it to keep my medicine cool. I was then scolded and told "TSA doesn't work here". So just make sure this would work at international airports. But at the the US airports, no issues at all, and I have used it several times.

I bought this to carry some meds that needed to stay cold while traveling. The product works well but it seems you’re really limited to about 24 hours until that ice pack is fully melted. Everything still stays cool, particularly if you keep the unit with you. I wrapped my medicine in a paper towel first because I was worried that initially it might freeze my medication if it touched the cold pack. You figure out what you need to do for your particular meds. Anyway I took this and my medication both to Europe and Africa. It got through TSA in the US and other countries security as well. And stayed cold until I could refreeze it at my hotels.

I purchased this product so I can bring my prescribed pens with me when I travel however, the thermal cooler prior to even putting the ice pack in it, is way too heavy! I can’t imagine having to carry this through all the airports that I need to walk through even if I put a carabiner on it and attach it to my backpack. I’m going to look at other options with soft sided pouches. Positive is the purple color is beautiful and the cooler probably does a good job at keeping things cool, but there wasn’t as much room inside after the ice pack and thermometer as it appears in the description.
