Bought this to help with soft tissue rehab post full knee replacement surgery on the advice of my physio. Its a sturdy bit of kit, and mainly use it on quads, hamstrings, and gastroc/soleus to help loosen up the tight muscle tissue. You really feel it when putting full body weight through it when working these muscles, especially my tight, knotted quads...only had it for a couple of months, but it feels like it will last for ever...To grade/star it on pain relief is a bit misleading, as I've bought it to loosen tight muscle tissues, so unsure about its use to relieve pain in my particular circumstances. My pain has gone after knee replacement, as I had bone on bone knee issues, so my problem is the tightness and lack of flex in the joint rather than pain post surgery, so need lots of work on relieving the tightness of the muscle groups and gradually aiming to increase the "elasticity" of the muscles due to years of pain and the muscles gradually getting tighter due to lack of use

I bought this after seeing lots of reviews about similar products splitting - you do put a lot of pressure on the roller when using it, even if you are not a particularly heavy person. This one has stood up to the pressure extremely well and I definitely recommend it. The storage/carrying bag is also very useful.

I have some problems with some hamstrings in my legs and have been advised to get a foam roller to help remedy this.I really like how compact this roller by LyfeFocus is as it is very easy to hide away and it doesn't take up much space in my home. It also comes with a carry pouch to help protect it.Sadly, however, I found this roller to just be too tough for the use on the side of my leg.Whilst I do need the roller to be firm, I just thought this was too firm, making usage of it painful.Overall, conceptually this product seems to be decent, but for me personally it was just too tough.
