We got this RC truck to play with our five-year-old daughter and she has a blast with it, and so do I. This little RC truck is very fast and very Squirrley. It does not have a progressive throttle, in that whenever you push one of the throttles it goes full blast. The controls themselves are like a tank or a skid steer. If you’ve ever driven one, the left stick controls the left tires and the right stick controls the right tires and in order to go forward, you must press both sticks forward and go backwards you have to press both backwards. You can either press just one stick forward or one stick forward and one stick backwards for a quick stationary rotation. This makes for very quick jerky and unpredictable movements, but that is half the fun. There’s a bit of a learning curve if you’ve never driven a vehicle like this before, but within a couple of minutes you get the hang of it.I really appreciate that there are two rechargeable batteries that come with the car they seem to last a good amount of time before needing to be hot swapped or recharged. The RC car is definitely capable of being driven outside in the grass because of its tank like nature however, I noticed that it has so much torque that if you go full throttle from a standstill, it can sometimes flip backwards and get stuck stuck like a turtle. Overall, it was unexpectedly fun.

My 3 the year old and I loved playing with these. They're great for what they are, decent play time length. Changing and charging is a bit tedious but overall I'd purchase again.

We enjoy using the handheld controller. It takes some practice to get it down but it was fun. It does great on little homemade ramps. The batteries have a decent life. We haven't immersed it in water but ran the tires through some almost dry puddles. It did well.

This item was advertised as a toy that could get wet. Within minutes of encountering water, this toy started malfunctioning immediately. Before it hit water, my son loved it. Wish it would have worked as it was advertised.
