Impressive Speaker
I work as a grill cook, which means I’m in a very noisy environment. So I need a speaker that is very loud. And I can say this speaker gets very loud for its size, but is never harsh on the ears, like some other speakers which leave an almost ringing in your ears after a high note. And it does not distort at max volume which is a plus for me.I used to have a 50w Rave Neo from soundcore, until recently when I sold it to a coworker who was in need of a good speaker. I had it for nearly 5 years. When I had it, I was constantly getting compliments on how impressive that speaker sounded. So I decided to buy another speaker from Anker since it’s quality I can trust.Comparing to the 50w Rave Neo, both with bass boost, and boom 2 out of box sound profile. The boom 2 gets louder than the rave Neo, however gets a little “muddier” at high volumes, while the rave Neo keeps a fuller sound. Probably due to the fact the boom 2 is missing a full range driver, and only has tweeters and a racetrack “subwoofer”. However does not matter in my use case. The battery life seems the same, after 3 hours of use at high volumes with bass on, I only used 40% of the battery on the boom 2, while I also used 40% of the rave Neo. Portability goes to the Boom 2. It is only the length of a ruler, height of 3/4 of a ruler, and is fairly slim. so it fits on any standard sized table easily, it also weighs less than half what the rave Neo weighs. The rave Neo felt like a workout carrying it work, while the boom 2 is easily carried by one finger. I also give appearances to the boom 2. The metal grill on the boom 2 feels very rugged and is much superior to the metal grill on the rave Neo. Both plastics feel the same as well, however it does seem the boom 2 is more vulnerable to scuffs and marks as I already have a scuff on the boom 2 with only 3 hours of use, while I have never gotten a scuff on the rave Neo. The LIGHTSHOW. The boom 2 is amazing to watch as it lights up and moves the radiators to the music. Very nice touch since I never really enjoyed the lights on the rave Neo. The rave Neo was also impressive, but the diffusion on the boom 2 looks very premium. Charging. Both charge with an input of usb type c. However, with the rave Neo, you had to use a usb type A charging block, which was super annoying because I have been trying to get away from usb type a, and micro usb. Type c charging blocks and cords are worlds superior. And the boom 2 can charge from any type c charging block.Sound. The boom 2 is loud. It is not audiophile quality. But if you plan on sticking it in the corner of the room or on the outside of a basketball court, you might not feel or hear every instrument or every vocal chord in a singers throat, but I guarantee you will be satisfied with the volume of music you are receiving from this speaker, which does sound very pleasant at least, which is what this speaker is meant to do. Get loud, so you can listen to music while you are doing other activities. I highly recommend higher end soundcore speakers, can’t go wrong.

Great sound!
This is a great Bluetooth speaker. I also own the Soundcore Motion and Soundcore life P2 Mimi ear buds.I bought the Sound Core Motion a few yrs yrs ago and I am very happy with it. It’s the bass. The other Bluetooth speakers I have owned seem to really be lacking in the bass sound, it’s there but not like it should be. I have two sets of Edifier bookshelf speakers for the two TVs and a set of Edifier head phones, they are really lacking in the bass response . Surprisingly as they are hardwired as well. The ears buds even have great bass sound. The difference here is more power behind the sound, more sound, louder. I don’t even have the light display turned on. Can’t say about exact battery life as I don’t use it for hours on end except for when I am cleaning the house. Connecting the first time seems to take a minute after that is very quick with my iPhone or iPad. The Soundcore app is kinda weak. It’s my favorite speaker to use.

Great for work and outdoors
I love it! Great sound, great bass, very simple and easy to use. If you want a Bluetooth device with big sound that doesn’t cost $$$$$, this is it. It is pretty small too. I don’t know how rugged it is, I would keep it away from dirt and water, but I bring it to work and outside on nice days and enjoy it. I work in a high decibel environment and this speaker can be turned up to overcome the job site’s background noise.

Rich bass awesome build quality.
Ok you’re anal about big sound deep Bass and you want it without buying the 3 letter triple price unit. You’ve also returned a cheesy sounding one that had great reviews. You like it to sound excellent low , medium or all the way with being able to hear the words abs not be muddied. Just pull the trigger im totally stoked how this sounds. No way would I spend 3 times this for the 3 letter brand when it sounds just as good. Best Bluetooth speaker I’ve ever owned.

It's a great choice, but for top sound get the Bose Soundlink Max
This was a tough 4 vs 5 star call. On acoustics alone, it's not as strong as pricier competitors but when you factor in price and weight and form design, its very compelling. If you are comparing this to other options like the JBL charge 5 or UE or Bose, this one is like 1/2 the price or in the case of the Bose sound link max it's 1/3. If you are listening to EDM, Hip hop etc, this party speaker will do the job. Rock on the other hand, this one struggles a bit. With rock / blues / jazz Imaging, warmth and balance become way more important vs electronic...the Bose hands down is the winner hear it's even really close. What I love about it:PriceThe handleThe weightBoth of the above make this very portable. It's not like, luggage portable, but it's easy to carry with 1 finger when you have 8 other things in your hands. The Bose is a dumbbell compared to this thing.Volume and bass, very decent sound overallEQ on the appYou can completely silence sound promptsWhat I don't loveIt's cheap looking / feeling, which is weird bc apparently it can float. The no dust proof rating, I mean, but idk how you can you be waterproof but let dust in?The sound is not as good as the Bose for most music. The EQ helps but you'll find yourself tweaking it for different music which is annoying.
