I purchased 2 switches to replace on my kenmore stove. 5 wires connect to each switch, so I moved them carefully L1, L2, H1,H2, & P. Their locations were different on the back of the switch, but the markings were clear. I turned the power back on to the stove and the "element on" light was illuminated. I checked that both new switches were in the off position, they were. I turned the power off, tested them both between L1 and P, identified the faulty switch, with the power restored I tested the on/off function multiple times, the light went off about 1/2 way from setting #1 and would stay off most of the time if I was careful to pause and slowly bring it to off. I returned the switch for a replacement. With both switches now controlling the "element on" light correctly I tested the settings for temperature control. Both switches failed. After 6 min on setting 3 (s/b 325° F) the pan was at 420° F and climbing, the other switch went to 500° F on setting 4 (s/b 350° F) and still climbing when I turned them off.

It works but it was to small for my stove. I rigged it until i could get the correct size.

I'm no appliance repair person but this was very easy to install. Works perfectly.

fit and worked, what else could I hope for

had a burner control go bad on our stovetop and this was a very cost effective replacement. It fit prefectly and was easy to instal. No issues several months after installation.
