Gave to my daughter as a gift, I don’t think it would have work for short hair.

Really good tool. My hair is so long now manual rotation was taking too long to wrap and with high heat, I was concerned with hair damage (not to mention time). Beachwaver’s highest heat setting is a bit lower (410 F) than what I used to use (435 F), but works well and curls held (I am using a heat protectant). Rotation is so much faster than doing it manually AND easy to control. Bi-directional button is one of the key features. I could never hold any tool upside down successfully as some other products require, so this feature made it really easy and took me seconds to get used to it! I thought that I needed a bigger barrel like 1.5” but this 1.25” is perfect as the curls naturally relax to the perfect wave. My hair is med thickness but I have a lot of it. I section bottom, middle, top. Also, I travel to Europe at least once a year so dual voltage capability is a cherry on top :) I highly recommend this curler!

The wand is large and it's not as easy as the videos show to use it.

I love the way this beachwaver curls my hair! It’s not too heavy to hold when curling and doesn’t tangle my hair. It’s a fast curling iron! I haven’t burnt myself using this either. I do recommend this product.

If you owned a Twirly Curls Barbie in the 80's, this is just about the same thing.

this is easy to use, but the curls will not hold. I have naturally wavy hair and curls always hold well for me with a curling iron, but not with the beach waver. It would be great if the curls would hold since it is easy to use. Unfortunately, this does not work for me
