I didn't like the models due to not knowing I had to ...
This was my first gunpla I had built in over a decade, the last probably being a 1/144 Wing Gundam back when Gundam Wing was on Toonami back in 2000-2001? I didn't like the models due to not knowing I had to panel line because I was in like...middle school wondering why my gundam didn't look like the ones on the box. My young ignorance aside my enjoyment of Gundam only grew over the years (Especially the Universal Century) which lead me to purchase the original RX-78-2 Gundam. Needless to say, yeah it had been awhile since I put together a model kit let alone one with so many pieces. Holy crap the amount of pieces was intimidating and a few times I had my doubts I could even build it. However once I managed to build the head and get the lights working I gained momentum. Learning curve aside I enjoyed building the kit but it took me some time to do it. I was waiting for my job to start so I had some downtime and it took me like 2-3 days total to finish. Mind you I was taking breaks and pacing myself which is unusual for someone like me. The time and effort was well worth it though because this model looks amazing. I only panel lined and even painted the Amuro figure(s) but didn't add any decals due to laziness. I used to think the models were brittle but this thing is surprisingly durable as it survived a fall from my dinosaur big screen tv (59 inches high = 4.9 feet high) Of course the impact disassembled it however none of the parts...broke which surprised me. I was lucky however that's still some feat don't you think? Thought for sure I would have to break out the super glue lol All in all this kit is pure awesomeness that any fan of Gundam (particularly the Universal Century) would enjoy. I might have went overboard with the pictures but it will let you know exactly what you are getting into. If you are considering investing $100+ into this model kit then these will help you decide as I look at user photos before purchasing kits.Weapons:-Beam Rifle-Beam Saber (x2)Pros:-About 13 inches tall upon completion-Great articulation in hands, each finger moves independently so you can pretty much pose the hand any way you want-Inner frame is really cool. No like REALLY cool. Seriously. I want another one just to display how detailed the frame is.-The silver hydraulics in the legs-Certain Parts of the white armor (head, forearms, calves) can open reveling some of the inner frame-LED in the head allows the eyes and back camera to light up if you have a *CR1220 battery(Not included with kit)-Core Fighter looks awesome and can transform to fit inside the Gundam-Includes a core-Flexible so this thing is really easy to pose.-Durable since it survived that 59 inch/4.9 feet fallCons:-Doesn't Include the CR1220 battery to light the LED in head.-No Hyper Bazooka or Gundam Hammer/Hyper Hammer-Beam Rifle/Shield is heavy making it possible, yet a challenge, to hold in place with the hands as the extensions that fit into the hand aren't the best (to me)-That Red part of the visor likes to fall off and you can't glue it because it then you would have issues being able to open the head otherwise.

Still an amazing kit!
Although this kit is now almost 20 years old, it still holds up as must have for anyone looking to complete their RX78 collection. Being 1/60 scale, it is almost twice the size of a master grade and will look amazing next to the others (see photo). On the outside, there is not as much surface detail or color separation compared to other kits, such as the MG 3.0, but for advanced modelers, there's lots of room for adding your own panel lines and details. To make up for its lack of outer details, this kit has an amazing inner frame, complete with multiple moving joints with visible pistons. There are panels that open up to show some of the inner detail, also I believe there is a clear panel kit you can buy which makes one leg and arm clear so you can always see the inner frame. This kit also comes with a super detailed Core Shuttle which you can display outside of the mobile suit while having a core block version of it inside. This kit does show its age in the quality of the plastic and some mold lines and flushing being visible, but it was nothing too difficult to clean up. The sticker sheet that it comes with is also not the best, as many prefer water slides, but you can order those separately. Overall its an amazing kit and a must have for any collector.

Perfect Grade & Is a perfect model also
2012-12-25 Well it took a while to finish but every step along the way start to finish was a real joy to build. The manual is very well done even for those like myself that can not read japanese. There is not one part on this model where I was disappointed. Be aware that you will have extra screws left over and you did not miss anything I was very careful about this point. Bandai just gives extras. You will need to buy a coin battery to make the eyes light up. The hands have separate fully articulated finger joints just like a person. You can pose this model in just about any pose a person could make. Yes this is a model but Bandai blurs the lines between model and fully articulated action figure. This is not my first Gundam model I have built but it was one of the more enjoyable ones to build. All and all a very solid build and an excellent representation of the RX-78-2 Gundam.

Very good
I have a 10 gundams. This gundam was little bit difficult to assembly because othergundam took about 4~6 hours, but this one took more than 8 hours. However, This gundam is very solid, strong and looking good. You guys will be satisfied to make this gundam.

It was a fun build, solid, and looks amazing on my shelf. It will be a great 1st PG build for any model kit hobbyist.

Great PG starter
My first PG Gundam and it was a blast to put together. Way more involved than MGs, but not as difficult as it could be. Looks amazing, and light up eyes are always a win
