Wider than many others. East to assemble.
Works perfect for my wife who is classified a fall hazard. She is overweight due to not able to get around much. Much better than the one she had before.

Stable chair for the shower
This works great in the shower once you get used to the crouch gap. Very stable and the legs are adjustable for height.

Leg width is inaccurate at 20 inches. IMPORTANT, IF USING IN A BATHTUB. !!
I really like this shower chair and experienced none of the quality problems others had. Product was manufactured In China and was well wrapped for shipment. All parts were wrapped in protective plastic and the entire unit was shrink-wrapped to the size of the shipping box.The design is very functional for my 5’ 7” body. THE IMPORTANT MEASUREMENT FOR ME WAS THE WIDTH OF THE LEGS AS IT IS TO GO INTO MY 1989 KOHLER BATHTUB.This is a standard 5’ tub, What I didn’t realize is the tub width at the top of the tub is not the width at the bottom. The bathtub gradually curves in. The 20 inch measurement given in the product listing does not take into consideration the rubber feet which hold the chair in place. I DO NOT THINK THIS CHAIR WOULD BE USABLE WITHOUT THE RUBBER PADS. For this chair to be used, (stock) you would need 21 “ to 23” of flat space. This changes depending on how high you are extending the legs. I am using mine at the bottom leg length (17 to 18) and shaving. (Tapering) the rubber feet on the curved side.) I am also, length-wise in the last hole. This makes the seat height 16 inches above the tub floor.I am very pleased with the quality of the unit would buy it again, BUT, the product specs need to be accurately described. Also, other reviewers have mentioned that the seat screws are too long and when cranked tight they extend through the seat cushion. I had the same problem with mine. The other reviewer bought replacement screws of proper length, however my solution was to add a thick enough washer to allow the screw to be tightened short of piercing through the seat cushion. Be careful, when inserting the screw THE SECOND TIME, in order to use the previous threads created by the first insertion, turn the screw by hand until you feel it running in the track created by the first insertion, then tighten until the washers are snug.My research of these chairs showed that there are so many variables changing the width of the base in the tub that apparently none of the manufacturers includes the rubber feet when measuring. This chair’s description of width at 20 inches was the shortest for this design of chair, that I looked at.For less than $50.00, I’ll give it 4 stars, taking one off for not covering the base width adequately.
