Another great product from NEEWER
I have more tripods than I will ever need, but all my others are either small desk types or large studio-type tripods, and I was after a tripod that would be more versatile. Having previously owned NEEWER tripods and been happy with them, I researched what they had in regards to something that could be used for travel purposes, that would be tall (I am 6ft 1) for landscape and wildlife photography, but also could be very low and stable for astrophotography. This LITETRIP LT32 ticked all of those boxes and more.It is light in weight, and when fully folded is compact and fits into the water bottle holder on my photography gear backpack. It is very quick to fully extend and set up, and using the Acra plates that I have for my camera and larger lenses makes attaching my camera or lens super quick and secure. The panoramic head makes it easy to move the camera when you either need to take a panoramic shot or when tracking moving wildlife. Even when fully extended, this tripod is very stable, even when I am using my bigger lens (150mm-600mm - see photos). It normally retails for £199.99, which would normally be out of my financial reach, but I was lucky to get it in a sale at £149.99.

Brilliant tripod!
I wanted a lightweight, sturdy tripod that would be ideal for travel. As much as I would have liked the Peak Design carbon tripod, I can't justify over £500. The Neewer LT32 ticked most, if not all, of the same boxes at less than half the price. Mine arrived with a minor fault with the 'push' locking lever, but Neewer sorted this out in a prompt and hassle-free manner. Brilliant product and brilliant service.

Lovely bit of Kit
Build quality of the tripod is excellent and despite being very light is very sturdy. Folds down nice and compact and easily straps to my camera bag.Easy to level and angle of legs easily adjusted. Catches to extend tripod legs feel a little light weight but so far so good. The inclusion of a solid pair of spare tripod feet is a really nice touch, as is the inclusion of an attachment for the monopole to allow you to add new heads.Quick release system works well, simple locking mechanism, means I can take camera on and off ball head quickly and be confident it's going to stay there when I put it on.So why only four, well the ball head supplied did not suit me. It does a solid enough job for landscape, but you can't fully tilt camera and continue to pan.I upgraded the supplied ball head to a neewer GM32 head, which is slightly less compact but has seperate tilt and pan functions, allowing me to set to meridian and still pan. This was made so much easier with the monopole attachment.Highly recommend, but you might want to budget for a better head for your needs.

A surprisingly good tripod
I looked at loads of travel tripods, watched and read reviews etc and this tripod kept popping up. There's good reason. It is really good at what it does. For starters it is very lightweight, setting it up is a cinch, and it is extremely easy to set the camera where you want it. Once the legs are extended the tripod is study and stable. The only thing I was concerned about was that it is advertised as having a 15 degree tilt on the head. As it is possible to tilt the head by 90 degrees in 2 positions, you can also lock this out at a variable angle. Thiseans pointing at the stars is simple. The case provided with the tripod feels robust and is of a decent thickness with a well designed set of handles to use to strap to your camera bag or backpack. Definitely recommend this tripod, it has surpassed my expectations. I do wonder what else Neewer have that might be useful?

Beautifully designed, lightweight sturdy travel tripod that is on a par with very best
As with cameras, the best tripod is the one that you have with you. Large, conventional aluminium tripods are great for the studio but not ideal when going on holiday, especially when every kg of weight counts. A few years ago, I bought a Peak Design Carbon Fibre Travel tripod, which had a great combination of sturdiness, compact design and barely weighs more than 1 kg. It goes wherever I go and has helped me produce some lovely photographs.I was therefore interested to see how the Neweer TP62 compared. It is less than half the price of the Peak Design but is beautifully crafted, with lovely design features. Like the Peak Design, it has an integrated ball head, with one-lever tightening device that is compatible with Arca-style plates. This is perfect for me as I use these plates for my Peak Design Slide Lite camera straps.Fitting the camera to the tripod is quite easy: you just push down the plate onto the top of the head and then slide the side lever forwards to lock into place. This was quite easy to master. Adjusting the ball head is also simple: the side lever opens to reduce friction on the ball. It can be partially opened for finer adjustments.I was really pleased to find that this tripod comes with a set of spikes, which are ideal when shooting on rough ground, as well as a universal head adapter. I had to buy the spikes as an extra for the Peak Design as they are essential for landscape photography. Fitting is spikes is easy, using the supplied Allen key.I tested the tripod on a recent trip to Iceland, taking pictures of the Aurora Borealis. t was a challenge getting to know the tripod in the pitch black dark skies so I was pleased how easy it was to set up, attach the camera safely and then disassemble once we had finished shooting. The tripod did a great job of keeping my Canon R6 steady during 10 to 15 second exposure times.I am really impressed by this tripod and can recommend it to anyone who wishes to use their camera whilst travelling for astrophotography, landscape or even “proper” selfies! It is a joy to use, does everything the Peak Design does and is very easy to pack in a suitcase.
