Great Product!
A great replacement bed for my 10 year old. Medium firm; easy to set up. No strange smells and was easy and quick to set up. Slept on the same night it was set up and my son mentioned he had a good nights sleep. Will purchase again in the future!

Zinus mattress, Full Size
Oh my goodness! I am so pleased with this mattress! I got it early, which was nice. It was delivered by UPS,and I am grateful that they were good enough to bring it to the top step outside my front door. It was raining, but it was well packaged. I got it upstairs ( no easy fete, as I'm 5 ft 2 and am slightly older- don't ask! 😉 ) I noticed on the outside of the box that the mattress should be unpacked within 72 hours ( for proper inflation, I think? ) I'd bought a twin in this brand before, but hadn't noticed that piece of information. The twin, BTW, was also a great purchase. Some reviews aren't as favorable as mine, and I wonder if that piece of unpacking info might be a factor. It's a good idea, regardless. In any event, this mattress will be left for proper and full inflation before I put it on the bed (that's due, tomorrow.) Hopefully that will be reviewed as favorably as this mattress. This mattress is just the right firmness and is soft to the touch. It is a very nice product, and I am so glad I bought it. I definitely recommend it! ( make sure you pay attention to that 72 hour caveat, though. I don't think they would include it if it didn't matter. ) The funny little warning advisory was appreciated, too. " Hand this to the responsible one... It knows Kung Fu." I have quick reflexes, as well, so... 😉 The price point was excellent, too. Very much appreciated! UPDATE: I've had this for a bit and unfortunately, my initial enthusiasm has lessened. Still a nice enough mattress, but has minimal side support. I'm going to put it in my second bedroom on the bed I also got from Amazon ( too masculine ) and have ordered a fuller and hopefully a firmer mattress. This was a 10 inch, and that was my mistake. In order to get the height, I ended up buying a 3 inch memory foam and two ( supposedly ) 4 inch mattress toppers. All in, they might equal the 12 inch that I finally ordered. Zinus is a good product, but if you want better side supports and a taller mattress, order one from the start. It turned out to be an expensive lesson.

A decent mattress for the money
After reading product reviews for mattresses in pretty much every price category, and realizing that no matter how much a person spent average satisfaction never went over the satisfaction rating for this mattress, I decided to give it a try. I'm from the old school when mattresses could easily last 10 years or more and have mainly been frustrated by sagging issues of several mattresses we've purchased since the introduction of pillow tops and memory foam including the inability to flip (not just turn) the mattresses which helps prolong wear. Sure the comfort is great at first until you are inevitably sleeping in a furrow which seems to start sometime in the first year, which is just unacceptable. So my strategy in purchasing this mattress was to essentially build my own, starting with the springs which is all this pretty much is with a thin layer of foam padding. I've read all kinds of reviews about how this is just as comfortable as a high end mattress and sorry but that's a little crazy, it's not even as comfortable as the $400-500 pillowtop mattress that started failing after only a year of use and is not so great anymore for my back. But this mattress is nice and flat and that's a plus. The springs are firm but have just a bit of give to conform to the body. And if they can hold over time, we can add a pillow top or memory foam layer over it to create a more comfortable mattress. This way if one of the two go soft or saggy we'll only have to replace one. And given that the springs don't have much of a "top" layer I assume I'll be able to flip it (as I'll be able to flip the top layer) independently of one another to hopefully prolong the life and comfort. Only time will tell but if this doesn't work out longer term the only option left will be an air mattress, which are probably the only ones that don't suffer from sagging issues but are super expensive.A word of caution about the packaging, it is well labeled in regard to opening it but definitely didn't prepare us for how the mattress would literally spring up off the box spring where we were opening it when I cut the last piece of the plastic packaging it comes shipped in. Also, be prepared to give a tip to the delivery person (if you're so inclined) because they are actually quite heavy and I regretted not having a five ready to give to the guy who had to load it and then bring it to my door.
