The rod comes with a coating that will need some scraping off before being able to emit a good shower of sparks. That said, it will create plenty of sparks and the ropes ignite very easily! Everything works as described and I'm very happy to have it to add to my pack

I have been trying to build a great fire-kit for my bushcraft gear for a long time. This one is the perfect size and has the ability for me to add more items as needed. Can easily expand to a pocket survival kit.I would love to add a pic of the items I added, but cant seem to upload pics.

Tested this kit to ensure it all worked before it goes in storage and had no issues there! The bag is a little on the cheaper side and zipper is sticky but overall, still decent for the money in my opinion.

I really like this item I had no problems with anything and the pouch is durable.

Everything works well and comes in a handy pouch with enough room to add a few other survival items of your own.

Not only does this striker work as intended, producing lots of sparks with little effort, the pouch it comes with has extra pockets and places to store other items. Very convenient.

Like others have said, this is a nice package! The bag is large enough to hold emergency fire starters and a pocket knife! Great value!
