Wanted to hook up a second monitor to my pc and used this and It fit the monitor port and my display port but nothing happened. Didn’t turn on or anything and then as soon as I unplugged it for the 2 MINUTES I left it in it was already hot to the touch…should have read the reviews before I purchased. I usually do but I didn’t this time for some reason and well yeah that’s on me I guess. Save your money don’t get this. Also it wasn’t a monitor problem because I hooked it up to my laptop using a usbc cable and it worked.

My Dell laptop is still very functional but has the proprietary display port connector. This adapter works very well to allow me to connect to my 2nd monitor with HDMI input.

I use this to connect my HP laptop to my portable monitor, because my laptop is too old to do visual data exchange via usb-c… sooo I have the usb-c to usb-c for the audio and this cord for the video! It works great for this!

I have a couple portable monitors that I sometimes incorporate into my home work station via a KVM, making it possible to expand my workspace with the press of a button. After a couple weeks of daily use, I haven't had any issues with this cable. It has worked seamlessly with 3 different devices. The only star off is for the price. I get really skeptical of anything that costs more than about $1/ft. If I hadn't gotten this at a holiday discount, I would have looked elsewhere for the base price. But it does work.

Works with iOS and Windows. It is a laptop output to monitors. Works with portable monitors with Mini HDMI input and computer devices with DP.

Cord worked great for 8 months until one day the monitor started flickering and then stopped connecting completely, when I went to check what was wrong the connector was severely hot while the PC port was not. This is not normal or connectors and is a severe hazard for the PC as it can do damage to the PC and is a fire hazard.
