After reading many reviews on electric fireplaces, we settled on this one! Install was easy, and we just looking for something for easy use/ambiance in our Lakehouse vs having a gas/ wood fire place. All of the different settings are fun too!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this fireplace insert back in 2019 and let me tell you it's still working good as new. Love it! It gives the perfect touch to our home. Heater works great in the cold days when needed. It comes with its remote and touch screen as well.

Love it !!! It was easy to install and the look is very realistic.

This is the third PuraFlame fireplace I have purchased. (The first one was 5 years ago, and it still looks and works great). I did lots of research before deciding on this brand. This one is the most realistic looking. We have a real wood burning fireplace on the main level by which our cat loves to get cozy and warm herself. This one looks so real she sits near it even when the heat option isn’t running! It is the perfect addition to our new basement media room. The heat feature is great. It is easy to use and was easy to install. All 3 we installed were in new construction, so we planned ahead and put in a dedicated electric line just to be sure all would work well. We did have a problem for a bit with the smaller one in the basement bedroom because the thermostat wasn’t working and it kept shutting off. After consulting the manual, we did a reset of the unit and it has continued to work fine since. I would definitely recommend the purchase of this fireplace.

Great fire place! Worth spending the extra money for it. Gives off good heat in our family room. Our only complaint is not all the buttons on the remote work.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased the Puraflame Alice 50” fireplace. This is pretty darn realistic. There are many lighting options to choose from (flame color, crystal color “ember bed”). Great color combinations. I have the cystals off and use the orange with a random blue .When turning unit on there are buttons on bottom right that light up (power, flame, heater,etc). Those go away after making your selection and waiting a sec or so.I have the faux logs on top of the crystal bed.It does have a thermostat on it. So if you set for a temp and the heater doesnt come on check to see what the thermostat is set at. Nice feature. Many units dont have that.Heater works fine for taking the chill off our basement (400 sq ft). I dont find it very loud at all. Might sound like a fan on low setting or less. Unit is installed recessed with its own dedicated out outlet (this was done as part of a remodel).Extremely please with this unit.

I was looking to install a modern, LED fireplace in my old 1950s wood-burning fireplace, and I chose this one because both the interior and exterior dimensions would make it an easy fit into the opening of the existing fireplace.My handyman built a simple wood frame out of 2x6s, which we mounted with screws into the mortar on the sides of the fireplace. The unit's firebox easily screwed into the frame.I had ordered a custom sheet metal surround to cover the framing, and to convert the more "square-ish" shape of the original opening to a narrow rectangle shaped for this new unit, so it would have the look of a "flush mounted" fireplace.With the basic installation finished, we lifted the glass panel to put it in place, and it spontaneously broke. Clearly, it was either a defective panel, or it had been damaged in shipping in such a way that the damage was not obvious. Whatever the cause, our installation ground to a halt.I called the seller's customer service number (E2E); they requested photos of the damaged item (and gave me the wrong email address to send them to!). When I called back the next day to ask if they had received the photos, they gave me the correct email, along with an "escalation ticket number". After about a week of waiting for them to answer, I decided to email the manufacturer in China directly. I immediately heard back from their customer service representative, David, who took care of EVERYTHING quickly and efficiently. The support from the manufacturer of this product was impeccable, and probably the best I've ever experienced. It completely changed my attitude towards the whole process (and really, it's not the manufacturer's fault that the seller has terrible customer service!).My handyman finished putting in the new glass panel today, and I am SO pleased with the results! Because the manufacturer stands behind their product, and it looks good, I would highly recommend this fireplace.

EDIT: To be fair, I was able to resolve the return issue. I still think it is the luck of the draw when ordering and receiving a unit in working order. Some friends of ours have this unit and like. I have seen it at their house and it looks nice and functions fine. FULL REFUND HAS BEEN ISSUED.After unpackaging the fireplace, I discovered that it was not working properly. It is the same issue others have mentioned here. The flames are not moving and 1/3 of them are no lit. I asked for a refund. Then I discovered that I have to cover the shipping costs. I received an email this morning with instructions on a possible fix. The instructions are totally unclear. I then call the customer service number and it is DISCONNECTED. Amazon will not assist me since this was bought and shipped through a third party.My only recourse is to repack it and take to a FedEx office to return. I have no idea what this will cost.Again...this has been a total nightmare and disaster.
